Yeah, I'm all in myself. She's a bit temperamental but I'm all in.

 

I have heard here on TW the 2nd gen are pretty fucking awesome. Maybe check one of those out? Plenty still on the used car lots.

 

Seeing that they have rough country lifts... I'd say look for something else

 

Yeah, had one of those too. Now it's time to enjoy the 3rd Gen! I did like the rear diff better in the 2nd Gen for what it's worth! LOL

 

Just enjoy it quietly. We don't want to hear about that shit.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg, they burn oil and the AFM control is chit as its being blamed for the carbon build up in the combustion chamber. And never mind the vibrations, rattles and leaks, minor stuff lol!

You'll need premium fuel if u do

 

My Taco works great with just regular

 

But if your Taco has a 6.2L GM V-8 it will require premium.

 

My last 6.2L never needed it. No big deal either way. Worth it.

 

Yeah Smitty, many don't run premium in the 6.2 but it is recommended by GM and they only post mileage figures based off premium. Either way that is a good engine albeit thirsty at times.

I think I talked to him but am not sure. I know whoever it was loved the power and it has that and more.

 

So here Premium is around $0.30 more than regular. An extra $7.80 on a tank if you filled all 26 gallons. Now if you fill up once a week for the year thats an extra ~$400. Well worth it for that performance and not required just recommended. A lot of guys run premium in their taco (why I'll never know)...
