I know you wanted flat black but I have to say that gloss black looks pretty good!!

yeah I did want flat black, but because they were so pitted it would not have looked good. its not super glossy so its not bad, just has a little shine, he put on some extra thick durable powder coating which will hold up better over time and abuse. I also gave him my bedside reinforcement bars for him to powder for me as well.

Cool! I think powder cost is a good product to last through our salty winter roads! It should be more popular

@Kemosabe I think its becoming a little more popular, they had a couple other sets there that they had done. but its hard to compete against plati-dip cost wise haha

Of course plasti dip is cheap and there is a big market for all those cool kids who want to dip everything! I dipped my wheels too, I like it but it is not the most durable. Good for street cars but when you hit the gravel it's another game. Would you feel comfortable with sharing the price it cost you for the 4 wheels? Since I don't plan to buy wheels it could be an option when mine will need a refresh. I think you can also have powder coat with a smooth finish? I like powder cost but not sure I would like to see the powder grain... like the linex

I agree 100% about the durability of plasti-dip, or the lack there of. its amazing what they can do with powder coating, smooth finish or textured if that's what u want. my rims are smooth but the bed stiffners will be textured cuz he said he could do it on the cheap haha

so for all 4 rims it was 565$, its usually only 100 a rim but since mine were in really bad shape he had to spend a little more time prepping them. all in all I am really happy with the way they turned out. the whole project cost a little more then I had originally planned but that's usually what happens haha the TPMS sensors were the major unexpected set back. I mean between the PC, the TPMS and new black lug nuts (which I still have to order) I'm almost at 1K for the project haha I could have almost paid for the SCS rims I want :anonymous::rofl: but judging by how they look I think my leak issue will be fixed which is a bonus and I will have some nice winter rims! hahaha the flaking aluminum/ oxidised rims looked terrible so what evs

100$/wheel is a decent price. Yours were in pretty bad shape according to the pic! With the picture you post of the 4 pc wheels I think they made a pretty nice job! If you are happy with the final result then who care?

Yeah I have the van with me 24/7 and he let's me use it when ever I need it. Which comes in handy when I'm doing work on the truck and realise I need a part or a tool hahaha
