I see where you are coming from...but at the same time, having good light at night on the trail can def be worth its value. I know my lights might be considered overkill to some, but they can illuminate everything and I don't have to regulate my speed on trail due to them either.

 

between LED fogs, retrofit headlights w/ HIDs, ditch lights, LED reverse lights, some pods on the KBvoodoo rack, and rock lights.... I am fairly confident that I can light up a trail in absolute darkness.

I think this weekend there is a flagpole run / camping trip for some of the guys..... next Saturday the 19th, a bunch of us are helping me move.... and the weekend after that, we are having a mod day at the new house and doing my lift, wheels, tires, bumper, sliders, intake, etc.... open invite to all of those. haha

We will see...I got LED fogs, retrofit headlights w/HIDs, ditch lights, Powerful reverse fog light, and a roof bar.

IMO, the headlights and fogs don't work that well on trail as the terrain is not flat so either it flies over the hill or gets stopped. It helps to have some elevated lights. My light bar alone can be used to supplement all my other lights and will be better as it is located above the roof and touches everything from a driving perspective for in front. Ditch lights are key when approaching something that I cant tell whats going on diagonally in front of me.

If we ever go night driving, I can show you what I mean. @misdirection1982 knows what Im talking about.

 

Funny you say that, when I was at the last mod day with @ready6delta and @Superman910, it has started to become a custom to just fire up my light bar when it gets dark to keep on wrenching. Not my original intention, but helps instead of having to pack up your shit just to hunt down the nearest street light to camp under.

 

I am ALWAYS down for a night run (remember I was the one that said we should totally run Taskers / Peters Mill at night! haha)

I still want to do that sometime soon.

lol @fatfurious2 and I fired up the RGB rock lights purely to test them out and play weird music while the kids got off school and David kept spraying at kids w/ the pressure washer. haha

 

Yea man Im down for that...I keep thinking that Petersmill closes at dusk...is that true? If not, then yea man it would be fun to blast through petersmill at night. Perfect for some Baja style flying.

A whole lot of nothing happening here this weekend. Today's my off Friday, so I haven't bothered rolling out of bed yet. Just listening to the radio and surfing TW on my phone.
