Left Redding on Monday for a mini vacation. Took my daughter to the coast before her school starts next week. Went to Eureka/Samoa area. Had lunch on the tailgate with a nice campfire. Then headed farther North to Crescent city and stayed at a hotel right on the beach that had dozens of sand dollars. She had a blast! We went to Trees of Mystery too. The simple things in life really make her happy. She kept telling me she was having the time of her life! Just she & I in my DC Tacoma cruising up & down the coast. Never got above 62 or below 52 degrees. Hated to go back to the 110 degree weather! I know, a lot of you guys live by the ocean or have nice, cool weather everyday. Summer is over!

    Some really cool shit

    1/4 - 20

The length will be determined by what you are mounting. For my plano gun box, and my Roto-pax I used 1/4 - 20 x 1/2

Did you go eat at the Samoa Cookhouse? Great place. And Eureka has a great brew/pub, Lost Coast Brewery.

Before I was married / divorced or had a kid. My friends & our girlfriends camped out in Trinidad every year on my B day and always bought a keg of Great white, Downtown Brown or Rasberry Wheat. Always bought fresh oysters & I brought my Banshee with me too. Lost Coast Brewery does have the best Fish n Chips and Hot brown sandwich. Love that place! They also have where you can buy a case of 22oz bottles of their beer for super cheap. We would get so trashed and piss off all the people in the campground. But now since I'm more settled down, I don't drink anymore and just do whatever makes my daughter happy since I only have her week on week off. Gotta make the most of it! Never have made it to the Samoa cookhouse. But I know people that have and you share a great big table with a bunch of strangers for a great big breakfast. Need to go there one day. Passed it on the way out to the Samoa State beach.

I'm just waiting for the call from Billy but I'll be heading down there to pick up my bumpers sometime in the very near future.

I missed it, what are you looking to transport?

    That's fair.

I used some non metric bolts for my auxillary fuel tank. They're welded into into the insides of 1" steel tube. I kick myself everytime I see them. Although, now that you mention the rack being from Colorado I feel a little better about. My extra fuel tank is out of a 1990 Ford F150.

Shit....now I just realized my Tacoma is part Ford. That's worse than non metric bolts.

Thanks @EDDO ... I'm confused since originally @WetTaco asked for the rack to go up to Sac but also asked for someone heading to Fresno. If Fresno, let me know and I'll probably have room heading down one of these weekends.

The whole camper interior will be be imperial. Unless I order online, or planned ahead, it's the only way I can build this fucker with hardware store fasteners. Bothers me since I have to carry 2 sets of sockets and 2 extra gear wrenches with 4 standard sizes each. The rest of my tools are metric. Guess it's not that bad.

I'm teaching my girls the different tool sizes and it's a nightmare with fractions. Metric is so easy...
