    I agree with you half-heartedly. BUT, only because Kim is one, unpredictable, dude. He may just be crazy enough to do something.
    And you know, even a small person gets the upper hand every now and then.
    I like how the Pres doesn't take shit, but, with him drawing a line in the dirt, IF NK does something and we don't retaliate then that will take away from any words the president has spoke or will speak in the future.

    If you are old like me, you would realize this whole thing is on endless repeat, just like Isreal/Palestine. No one needs to stand up. Both leaders are 'crazy nuts', so it's kinda like "the pot calling the kettle black". This story just goes on and on and each new generation becomes aware of what has been a long-standing situation.

    China and the USA like the situation just like it is, which is why it has been this same way for decades. A divided Korea does great service to the USA's most important Asian ally Japan, which would be severely threatened by the sheer economic power of a united Korea (the Japanese can barely compete with the South Koreans). NK also provides a good "bogeyman" to justify military spending stateside. China, for its part, enjoys having a puppet state whose entire economy is based on Chinese imports/exports, and can provide a large army to supplement Chinese forces in any conflict.

    No one in North America knows anything about North Korea, or its leadership, unless they have been there. As Trump points out so often, there's lots of "fake news" in the world.

    The present situation will be brokered between the real leadership of the USA, and China, to achieve more status quo is my guess. If nuclear war breaks out, I guess I was wrong. Nice knowing you all! :bananadead::hattip:

    For sure, but I don't think Kim wants to lose his private collection of Basketball memorabilia, any more than Trump wants to lose his extensive collection of upskirt photos, so Kim is unlikely to start a battle he won't win, to see it all go up in nuclear flames.
