Alright folks, here's my story...I have a 2014 Tacoma with the 4.0. I recently had the Magnuson SC put on. 2 pulls on the dyno show the blower making 4.8psi max. I also have an AEM boost gauge. It shows 4.8 max psi as well. After dealing with the shop that installed it AND several phone calls/emails with Magnuson trying to remedy the problem, Manguson finally tells me that they made a mistake when they advertised. That blower is only makes 5psi max! I'm only making 4.8 due to an after market exhaust. I've told them that I have friends with that kit and their blowers are making the advertised boost. They keep asking me to show them the dyno charts of the people that are claiming 6psi. Please chime in with your opinions.

I would assume the people making 6psi or more are running the smaller URD over drive pully vs the stock TRD/Magnusson one. Smaller driving pully means higher scroll RPM means higher boost. YMMV.

It's supposed to make 6psi from the factory. Without changing the pulley.

What was the elevation and air temperature (ambient pressure) during your Dyno runs?

The advertised 6psi is for a standard day at sea level. Any decrease in ambient pressure due to higher temperature or elevation will result in lower boost numbers.

Temperature has a much greater affect than most realize. 90f at sea level will result in an equivalent density altitude of over 3000ft of elevation.

Where at in CA are you? As stated above, elevation will reduce boost. If you're up in the mountains then that could explain it.

I'm at 177' and it was like 80 degrees. Everything should be as advertised. Maggie is trying to feed me some bullshit now saying that this kit on my truck only makes 5psi. Sooo pissed!

I'm 10 minutes south of Ventura. If I was any closer to the sea I'd fall in.

5-6 PSI. What the dyno said, have you every hp? Of course 305 hp is at the crank, maybe 20% less at wheels.

Sounds like you got a bad supercharger. I'll take it off your hands for $500.

Likely bad tune, Bully Dog tune, I think. But it is within adverticed specs.

2nd gen, with a TRD SC, TRD CAI, and TRD exhaust, Toyota flashed the computer..... no other engine mods.

I don't have dyno's but my vac/boost gauge at woot hits 6 PSI. At idle the vacuum is -10

I am getting the correct hp and torque. Just being anal cause I'm 6500$ poor. Also trying to understand why mine is the only one not making the 6psi.

Is the TRD CAI legal in California? I have an aFe. I took it off when I the blower went on. I was thinking about putting it back on. I just don't know if I want to deal with changing it out whenever I have to get smog.
