That's good to hear. You have a stand-up Dealer. Mine was just uninformed, but once they were made aware, the process has became a breeze so far.
I miss my truck tho.... :pout:

Im not so sure about this, I bought my 2008 Tacoma back on July 3rd and had the inspection done a week later and it failed. So pictures were taken of a peforation and submitted to Toyota, and I was approved. I have the service record with the code ZH6404, which is qualifying perforation found/awaiting frame replacement. I even confirmed this with Toyota themselves and they said both my Tacoma and myself qualify.

I just bought a 2011 ACLB TRD Sport. My frame looks similar to yours...20k miles....
Dealer assures me that Toyota will cover rust-through for 15 years.
I am already planning to de-scale the frame myself and treat with POR15 on the outside and Eastwood in the channels.

Undercoating is good but it may be too late. There's sooo many hidden cavities in our frames. My main holes started inside the frame, where it's impossible to de-scale before a good coating. If you can live with the unsightliness, I would let it run its course until your dealer says you qualify for replacement. It will require replacement.....

Yes you need to set up your account first, and if I remember correctly it automatically had my Tacoma listed.

I just checked the service history on a truck I was looking at on the Toyotaowners.com site and it required me to enter the VIN that I had from the dealer. There is a broad range of data, service history, in-service date, how it came equipped, etc. In places, it's more helpful than Carfax, with more detail. With Carfax it's a great combination.

What they told me and what it took were off by 3 months. I truly don't think they know when the frames are coming in.

I took my 2006 Access Cab Tacoma in for a child seat recall notice today. They also inspected the frame, (it was first inspected in April of this year) They said it had a hole in in the frame today and they confiscated the truck. They gave me a 2016 Jeep Patriot for a rental. Told me it will take about 5 months to get parts and do the job.
I'm kind of in shock right now that I'll be without my truck until Christmas. But I guess when i get it back it will be worth it.
