How bad was the ticket? If it's not much over it might not be worth the effort to fight. Not really sure how you could prove it got stuck unless you had one of the newer models.

It was a joke guys. I have every intention of paying it, as I was speeding.

The idea just popped into my head earlier. What a convenient bullshit excuse...

and that, sir, is a big reason why people dont like cops

how can you morally stop someone or tell someone NOT to do something, when you do the very same thing that youre stopping them for

I thought about that too. I think a LOT of people thought about that. I almost think that so many people thought about it that it sort of changed the whole problem entirely. BUT, I tend to be pretty paranoid...

    Rain Visors,
First off I'm not that kind of officer, I couldn't stand to write tickets all day. And When I was on patrol, unless you were being very reckless, i never wrote.

    I do speed but I will never be reckless, 80 in a 65 no problem....80 in a 50 you've got an issue.

and people don't like cops....well until they need one...

And the reason most cops will give the courtasy to others is because they too know how bad we get shit on until someone needs us there.

How fast were you going and what was the limit?
