This is not my truck, but I came across it and thought someone might find it interesting. I didn't know if it should be posted here, or in the B/S/T section so please move it if it needs to be there.

37k miles on it, 4x4, auto TRD.

If I weren't so dead set on a new truck I would seriously be considering this one. Part of me wants to forget about the new truck and see if I could land this one - but I wouldn't pay anywhere near the buy-it-now price.

That's a great looking truck! I'm gonna watch it bid out just to see if it sells.

Buy it, it will be way more reliable than a second gen taco. Dont buy new, there are too many problems with them

That thing is a fake TRD.. I don't see a RR Diff button on the dash nor do i see the sticker for the RR Diff instruction on the driver side door.

Also, for a 2004, it should have the push button 4WD as upposed to the gated transfer lever

Wow!!! Good eye. Is there a way to report this to ebay before somebody gets screwed?

And won't you be able to see some bilsteins?

Wow, great eye! Glad I posted this thread before buying - If my dealer wasn't able to tell me good news on the vehicle I had put the deposit down on last week (long story) I was going to get my deposit back and buy this one...

This truck is also on auto trader.

Truck in question: I don't see RR Diff Lock button.

This pic shows where the RR Diff lock button should be:

However, I'm curious about the gated transfer lever. That should be a give away of whether the truck is completely original.

You sure it isn't hiding behind the windsheild wiper stick?

Compare to the bottom photo showing the button and account for the view angle and the actual location of the button, you should be able to see something next to the dimmer.. I even bumped up the shadow in photoshop and saw nothing.

Ahh I stand corrected then. I guess the 4WD button was an option...

But still questions about the lack of a Diff lock button.

Lots of small stuff; Grillcraft MX, Bilstein 5100's, Deck Plate Mod w/ AFE air filter, Airaid MIT, braided SS brake lines, Redline Tuning QuickLIFT hood struts, Extang Full-Tilt tonneau cover, fog light mod, gray wire mod, power outlets on-demand, Diff breather ext, additional contours to passenger side from oak tree.
Reading this thread really drew my curiosity, so I called the dealership and spoke to a salesman. I inquired about the diff. lock - not letting on that nosiness was the only reason for my call...

He said that he had the original window sticker, went and got it, then simply read the details of the TRD package to me (which obviously mentions the locker). He didn't offer right out to go look at the actual truck, so I asked him if he'd check it out and get back with me. When/If I hear from him I'll post what he tells me...

ChaseUA, for the record he told me that if I was interested in the truck I didn't have to wait until the end of the auction - we could work something out early. I have almost the identical truck, so I'm obviously not interested in buying this one, I was just curious due to this thread. So, if you're serious about it you could probably save some money by calling him instead of waiting for the bidding to go up!

I'm glad you guys were watching out for me, but I actually just got good news, the 2010 that I have been wanting is coming to me as early as mid-week next week! My local dealership was able to get it traded to them afterall so I am no longer "shopping". He said I could have it as early as next Tuesday or as late as mid-April, but at either rate I'm excited!
