I wouldn't want to get into even a minor fender bender with 99% of the push bars available Most of them are cosmetic only and will do more harm than good in a collision. A mount like this will be stronger than your stock aluminum crash bar and your winch is probably 10x tougher than a chrome push bar.

I agree with you. It's a lot of options to consider. When I first asked about this, I never thought I would have this many options to choose from. They all look good and I'm sure they all have their good points and bad points. Now It's just time to make a decision. Then.. after getting into all this. I found out they actually make a rear bumper that also has a hidden winch mount system. I probably didn't need to know that.

True. The one on my tacoma isn't a a chrome one. I'm not sure who it's made by but it's sold and bolts directly to the frame. Whoever it was built by, made it fairly solid. But that being said. I don't have a problem with it going away.
I would just have to figure out where I would bolt my light bar to.

Nfab makes the light bar mount I have on my truck (hooped or no hoop) and it works/mounts with the Pelfreybilt HWM. I have a 30" light bar as well

Yeah I don't think that the Pelfreybilt HWS will work with it but to be honest, I'm no expert. I'm sure Pelfreybilt could answer it for you though

yeah that's the right ones, I got mine off of Amazon for slightly cheaper but the one I have is specifically for 12-15 year on Tacomas. I doubt that there is that much of a difference

Ok I'll have to check Amazon. I just went there to get the basic info and to make sure of what I was looking for.

hhmm.. looks like the pelfreybilt hidden hitch system doesn't require as much cutting off the front as the others do.

I didn't do the install as I have a super small one car garage without the proper tools and lacking the confidence to not fuck it up but I watched the guy at the mom and pop shop I got it done at. Took him about 4 hours to drop the bumper, remove the crash bumper, install the Nfab mount/HWS, wire in the winch and light bar and then button it all up. Here's a detailed DIY writeup on the install complete with NFab mount.

Thanks! Yeah I'll probably need it.
I think if I had a whole day with no distractions I could probably get it knocked out. I'm just curious about my push bar. I think I'll take good pictures of it tomorrow and send it to them in a pm and see what they thing. I do like it. but if it has to.. so be it.
