Any updates on your exhaust set up?

Looking to purchase URD Spec-U exhaust along with Power Extractors.

Willing to order as long as fitmet issues are remedied.

OV Tune can hopefully remove O2 sensor fault code?

Definitely post clips, pics and everything other thing possible if you get both the spec-u and the power extractors... You'd be the first one, that I know of.

    One more, because you're awesome...

E-Mail sent to URD. As long as the Power Extractors do not cause any negative mechanical side effects by setting off a service engine light then I am good to go. Hoping OV Tune can take care of engine light.

Will post plenty of quality pictures and videos when it happens!

Until someone can fix the CEL issue this will cause, I believe the engine will detune and go into some kind of fixed mode because of the out of spec O2 sensor reading. Not an expert.

I just ordered the OV Tune!

I am wanting to pull the trigger on SPEC U exhaust + Power Extractors. Gadget said through email there is no remedy to fix MIL lamp caused by removing front cats.......either I buy both exhaust and Power Extractors and hope the MIL lamp is fixed someway or I am out $330 on paper weights/door stoppers. He also said there is no missing hangers, if I go with SPEC U exhaust I will take it to a muffler shop and have them weld hangers for peace of mind. Can't see this costing over $60.

There is also the issue you had running Spec U exhaust with OVTUNE?
    Really discouraged at this point.

1.01B fixed the stutter I was having. OVTune still has not released a specific update for the exhaust but I believe they will. I still believe in the tune and exhaust they just need development. You can always buy the extractors once someone fixes the CEL issue and I think either OVtune or URD will.

If someone can remove the CEL, I'd buy both as well.
I'm in the same camp as many on here.
I'm waiting for QC to get fitment squared away and NO EXCUSES on the hangers... IF THEY'RE THERE, UTILIZE THEM. Total BS.
Fix all that and I'll buy the spec U and tune.

I believe that bracket is there to prevent catalytic converter theft. And a little deterrent for the thieves
    To remove cats
Few years ago in CA before the real estate market crash... Toyota truck was targeted for their catalytic converters.

That is a better answer...Those cats costs like 150ish or so from what my friend said. For that reason they're in my garage still and not in the garbage.

Pulled the trigger on only the Spec U exhaust, not sure why there isn't a fix to remove MIL error on front cat removal if there is a product out for it.

I would be ok installing the Power Extractors if there was only a MIL lamp and not any performance decrease caused by "malfunctioning" front cats. Thinking back to my M3, I believe performance/driveability will be affected.

I ordered the Exhaust early Thursday morning, I haven't received a shipping tracking number yet. What was everyone's wait time? Seems I have been spoiled by Amazon's same day shipping and sometimes same day delivery.

Will order Power Extractors once a fix is available. Being that there isn't one yet made me hesitant to purchase them.

My order took about a week to receive. However, my right side pipe had the bung hole issue so couldn't install. It's been sitting in my garage for about 3 weeks now. Finally received a tracking # today for the replacement pipe.

Can you send some pics of it installed? I'm considering this option to couple with the ovtune

Looks pretty damn good. I hope the install is smooth. At least I see a hanger for the ypipe section

Installed exhaust tonight, everything went in pretty good. No hanger on driver side, hangers in all other locations. Used Copper anti seize on bolts and copper RTV on flanges.

    Sounds Awesome!!! Pictures tomorrow!

Here are all the images I took working from the rear of the exhaust towards the front. Here is my recommendation for installation which took about 2 hours.

-Use copper anti-seize on 4 bolts holding the y-pipe to exhaust manifold.
-Use copper anti-seize on the 2 oxygen sensor threads and oxygen sensor bung bolt.
-Use copper RTV gasket maker on y-pipe flanges to limit possibility of exhaust leaks.
-Start at the rear and work your way to the front.
-Do not tighten down any clamps until the complete exhaust is fitted.
-1 hanger not utilized on driver side, does not look like it will be a problem. You can take it do a muffler shop and have them tack weld a hanger for you.

Now waiting for MIL fix on front oxygen sensors before I pull trigger on Power Extractors.

The big one that's front and center is a traction bar, it allows one to easily spin tires without dealing with axle wrap or axle hop, both of which the Tacoma is prone to otherwise. Additionally it provides a big fat insurance policy on the driveshaft seeing as the Trac bar keeps everything in perfect geometry and prevents you from over extending the driveshaft. It's more insurance than anything but like I said you can totally smoke em with one
