Idk if you use instagram or not, but people do this stuff and put it on instagram to get a bunch of followers and to get validation from people that like this stuff and to invalidate people that don't like this stuff. Adding to what @itaro was saying, this culture is particularly fascinating because they welcome people to hate on their stuff in the comments and have every sort of response imaginable and have no problem using people's dislike as their reason for spending all this time and money into a rolling eyesore. Young people these days have no problem doing things to evoke negative response from people because culture and society now tells us that we can do whatever we want as long as it makes us happy and doesn't hurt anyone else. The unfortunate part of the mindset of these people is that they ultimately spending all that time and money for the sake of other people, and not themselves. Doing it to please or displease others, ultimately it's for them...

 

Do use instagram and I realize it's his truck and he can do whatever he wants but it's just a huge eyesore. If you're gunna do that to a truck than get the stereotypical Silverado not a taco

 

All I ask for is to adjust your damn headlights so you won't blind me.

 

I understand spending money on some looks but I don't think it should reduce function all that much... these trucks are pretty much useless lol

 

Exactly man... The "do it for my haters" mentality is a way people twist their insecurity, but ultimately still finding validation in other people's opinions. These types of people are naturally very defensive and believe the worst in people to begin with, not a good combination when mixed with living their lives to garner responses from other people
