As for belt slipping I don't even know how to test that. Its the belt that came with the S/C and I and I still have the stock 3.0 pulley

I would say start with inspecting the belt, then loosening the tensioner and checking for a bad bearing somewhere that would overheat the belt and harden/crack it prematurely. You might want to try a belt dressing and/or a new belt

Although it would only make sense that a 3 inch pulley pulls less air through than say a 2.85 or smaller.

    Coolant reservoir is full.

    Maybe too full?

I also cleaned up the dried coolant. I'm not sure if it was there because its leaking or because of spillage during filling.

Key on and look into it, as long as you could see it swirling around good then you've got good flow and should be good. Also check for debris/leaves/etc in the radiator fins and wash with a garden hose if it looks dirty

Do you see the coolant swirling in there with the ignition on? I remember someone had a bad pump at one point.

Yall obviously don't stare at your coolant often enough. This is clearly either swirling or just got done swirling from the bubbles alone lol.

Also, I might need to change mine soon, mine's starting to get a little darker, almost a brownish pink.

If you go smaller on pulley size, get a shorter belt. Prevents the potential.

Seems that the Gates Racing Accessory belt will also help reduced slip. According to a brief finding by @XPOTRPR

Well about 6+ months ago I did something stupid and drained my trans fluid when I was doing my first oil change on my own.

Didn't realize it for a few days until it really started to slip and shift hard. Took it to the dealership afterwards and they refilled it. Given its the dealership its possible they didn't put enough in.

Mine was warm I had been driving around all day and was on my way home. I tried dropping gears manually and it wouldn't do any thing. My temp never got to horrible it was around 190*. that's why I was like shit my trany just blew up. I'll check the level on it again and go from there. I spoke with John from ipt and he said fill it up to the correct level and then add one more qt. Just a heads up for everyone else.

ok so to catch up on a few replies...

5th gear did that to me and it was low on fluid... Ended up with a new tranny (3rd) and it is flawless.

I need to go check for the intercooler resi... I really thought it was air to air. I didn't install it and the truck has been driven maybe 1000 miles since October. :(

I finally got it in the garage so I can try to get the UCON to communicate with my PC. And then I need to talk Scott.

Maybe what you are describing is different issue than I'm describing. Every time mine has done this has been after a cold soak. Sounds like you may have something more severe happening.
