I think smitty likes his truck. I just think he finds it unacceptable what Toyota has said and done with reference to his howling real axle. Smitty is vocal about it. I don't blame him.

Willing to bet the enjoyment factor would increase markedly if you strapped a SprintBooster on your ride.

No B/S, I wish it was!

We bought two GMs back in '08 when I gave up my perfectly working gas guzzling Yota Truck when fuel went up over $5+ per gallon and climbing fast.

Within a year, the first one (driven by my son) started to fall apart starting with the headliner trim at the sunroof and then the driver's door trim on both.
Then the abs lights, one had a water pump replaced, glove box lock was so cheap it was replaced under warranty, numerous recalls for both and after it was out of the 36k bumper to bumper warranty, the abs came back on and dealer said no more warranty and wanted $400 to repair.
But I won't bore with more, yes, there's more, but we did the smart thing and traded them. Problems solved lol!

And It was well worth not wasting so much downtime on them.
That's why I don't understand how someone can claim he eats all the doughnuts and drinks all the coffee at the Taco dealership.
Is their time so worthless they're willing to spend it there???

That's been my experience thus far with mine, just a joy!

I got rid of two GM problem children back in '08 and never looked back.

They call their Taco "clunkers" "POS" "Turds" and yet here they all are!!!

    Why is that?? Hehe!

My current GM (2015 Chevy Traverse with 40k miles) is sitting in the dealership right now with a failed AC compressor, 2nd time this year for warranty work. The 1st time was for window trim that was falling off causing leaks. Wife has been in a Nissan Altima for 4 days now.

I think it is safe to say: Toyota does have its problems, they lie to us, and they will try to protect their shareholders over their customers.

It is also safe to say: all other larger auto manufacturers are doing the same things. Some are much worse than Toyota.

I think we need to let the victims vent and not attack them. Unfortunately, it is very difficult, for justice minded people, to take the fight to any company whose legal team can squash you. The small (including myself) people don't like that. And yes we, the small people, can whine like 2 year olds sometimes. In fact, every human being can....

Let em vent. That is a virtue of this forum and a free speech in general. As a side note: remember that some of these "justice minded" people, and their loud voices, are what is driving the continuous improvement. I know, I am one of them. The Transmission TSB went to Rev1 because of my loud mouth and swift moves with the Executives of Toyota US.

I didn't waste any of my valuable time venting on a forum which could do nothing about my problems.
I got rid of them, problem solved, carry on

I understand and fully respect your position.

Others here are looking for support, crowd sourcing, and gathering collective information from like minded people. That is the magic of a forum, free speech and the internet. The actions of some of them are literally causing improvements to happen to our truck's.

Yes, they call their trucks TURDs and I got the worse Toyota truck ever made but instead of selling/trading/Lemon Lawing all valid ways to get out from under them they add $2000 lifts and other mods then adding money to their to an already over priced Lemon doesn't add up.
