Do you offroad? Mine cleared fine before off-roading

Honestly I probably won't be doing a lot of off roading. Maybe a little here and there but nothing serious.

Crank the steering wheel all the way right and left (to full lock), then take some photos of the inner and outside portions of the tire, both front and back of the wheel well too.

What if I went 275/70/17 ( aftermarket wheels ) with the bilstien shocks?

Thanks I will, I've actually read a few of them already just searching. But honestly I don't plan on doing any hard off roading if any at all. I just want to get a more agressive look and maintain ride quality. I figured if I'm not off-roading the 5100s might be ok for what I need. But I don't know

Look at the 5100/6112 setup that @smitty99 did, it'll ride better

The 5100s are OK. A lot of people run them because they're cheaper than a coilover setup. I have seen quite a few guys say they ride stiffer (harsher) than stock. It depends probably how you pair the springs with them. I like the 6112 because they're a higher quality assembly and take the guess-work out because they come with springs out of the box... you just adjust them for the amount of lift you want.

EDIT: If you look on this thread starting around page 5 there is some discussion from members who swapped from 5100s to 6112s https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bilstein-6112.421995/page-5

Per feedback I've seen here and elsewhere the 6112s ride and perform better than the 5100s.

About 6 months ago I mentioned to a pretty popular Instagrammer that he should stay away from whoops in the desert when he installed his spacer lift. About a month ago, he destroyed a front shock out in the desert...

    Hello Everyone.

    A tackomaworld Facebook page user.
Stated he's using 275/75/17 on a stock 2017 TRD Sport. Does anyone else have that set up? Any rubbing ?

    Thanks.

Ok thank you for the feedback, just read our write up, and every thing you listed for parts , do I need all of those? Or would I be ok without some of them since I wont really be off-roading ?

You don't need the bump stops or the ubolt flip kit. Should save you $300+ right there.

Thats the rear and no one trims the rear, its the front that needs trimmed. Driving over a speed bump doesnt even flex the suspension so...Also the rub doesnt come from tires pointing straight, its when you turn or flex

    Try locking it in reverse

I have a 2011 4 Runner with 285/55r20 Nitto Trail Grapplers on 20x10 XD wheels, 3 inch Revtek suspension lift and they rub on the front, had to cut the inner fender alot on the front side, no rubbing I. The rear of the front fender at all though. IMG_20170409_131640517_HDR.jpg
