Flatbed,35’s and Mainly Parked For Repairs

my current spare (33) won't fit in the stock location without modification, but the air compressor Im thinking of putting in a place out of the elements. Don't want it to crap out since the arg compressors are kinda pricey. Also, in the stock spare location I have some lights mounted.

Going to put the tent to use this east coast trip. Tires won't be on until a regear. 315/70/17 are pretty wide and big on a 9 inch rim. Should be fun to get them to fit.

Yeah just got it from 4wheelparts. Got a free annex with it they had it in stock. Was super happy with it the transaction.

Yeah was pretty happy with the purchase. The cap is a contractor cap that hold I think 300-400lbs dynamic. So static we should be good. I hope lol

 

Flares are off. Cutting to happen soon. Have to fit them 35’s....

 

Will you cut the flares too or leave them off the truck?

 

Right now I’m leaning towards leaving them off. Have the flares on kijiji but if they don’t sell I’ll drill them and bolt them to the truck once they are cut. Seems like more of a hassle than anything. See how it goes.

 

I think it does look good without them, and it also makes less part to rip off in a trail lol

 

Lol. Yeah. Only issue I can see is the tire stick out. With the flares off it looks worse than it already is with the 35’s.

I personally like it lol but I hope you won't get trouble because it is sticking that far. I don't know about Ontario laws but here, policemen don't like it very much. They tolerate it a bit but do stop a truck every now and then

 

Yeah. My brother in law had no issues with his truck and he had a good 3-4 inch stick out on a 12.5 tire. I have scene 6 inch stick out rolling around town. Just wait and see how bad it is with the new tires.

Sliders are relentless fab. They are weld on. Would recommend bolt on for ease of painting with our winters.

I was thinking bolt on as well, mostly because if a weld point fails, how will you fix it in the field? if a bolt fails, whelp buy a 4 dollar bolt

If a weld fails you have bigger problems. Lol. The slider will dent or bend before the weld will fail. It’s apart of the frame now.
