I wasn't convinced before but that drive today to hold off some STRONG Toyotas was impressive. Somebody put this guy in a good car! I'd love to see him get seat time in the 43. Not a great ride, but man, if Ford had Blaney and Wallace as their new hotshots, that'd be awesome.

Agreed. He got shafted in Roush equipment. Bubba knew he had to make a statement today and he got the job done in lesser equipment than he beat. He flat out out drove them.

No Roush dumped him and disbanded the team 12 races into the season they claim due to sponsorship. Was a BS move. Currently he does not have a ride.

JR should put him in an xfinity car for next season. As is the norm now only the rich kids with a sponsor in there pocket get a ride. If you are good but can't buy a seat you are fucked. I.E. the 3, 43 in cup just to name a couple.

NASCAR should get a tax break for letting Austin Dillon drive. That MF is legally retarded!

If you had a good driver a sponsor used to follow but now people like Paul Menard just buy a seat.

I like AD but not from his racing abilities, mostly for off track stuff. But last I seen Bubba had a lot of sponsors on the 6. I really see roush past their prime for good anyway. Bayne sucks, and Stenhouse may have 2 wins, but never runs up front unless the field wrecks (ie plate races this year). They also don't sign talent and Biffle told them to fuck off over having shitty equipment.... Be interesting to see if they don't close doors eventually, because Bubba was their best driver to market.

Boring race but that move by Larson at the end was awesome as hell, glad he won it.

Poor Chase can't nail a restart to save his ass but his car was average anyway. I hate listening to Kyle Petty rag on Chase or any Hendrick driver. What a worthless POS!

Rad move on that restart. I missed the race. Just caught the replay. Incredible racing, given Larson was in Knoxville until God knows when this AM. Kid has some stamina like whoa. 45 minutes of kart racing and my body is toast. Heading into the Chase Truex and Larson look like the favorites. Kyle Busch, Brad K. and Harvick are dark horses. Hendrick usually starts their march to the championship in August too so keep an eye on Jimmie. Hamlin, Kenseth and Logano have been out to lunch this season.

Idk, the move wasn't clean when you bang the other cars.... But that point doesn't matter, what matters is, y watch a whole damn race and the only green flag pass happens on the last 2 laps. NASCAR needs to fix that and bad.

Why would you want a clean pass? That is exactly what is wrong with the sport! I agree it was a boring race but that race always is. Some tracks are designed for the drivers to take control and others are in the hands of the crew. This is a crew and strategy race. Next week, not so much.

That's a statement that just sucks overall because your boy didn't have a good finish. There was passing but not a lot of it, last 10 laps was awesome. Who the hell wants a clean pass for the checkered flag? It was as aggressive a pass can be without wrecking and was fantastic.

Exactly, lap times at this track are so close it has more to do with the car than the driver. That's why I'm so impressed with this finish, Larson made a great move to win and didn't wreck anyone to do it. Impressive.

On another note, Truex/Kyle are favs for the ship. There aren't other cars that can beat them on the track, but Kyle's team and himself beat them too much so I'm chalking this season up to a Truex championship.

clean pass for the win? guess we better just dump the field from now on.... and lots of passing? once the leader got out front they were gone all day, just like all year. last 10 laps were exciting? so should the 190 before that but nascar cant have that, stage racing is making everyone get on one of two strategies and it is not helping the aero battle racing at all. They need to fix that, and fix it fast. Have they even tested a new aero package for next year yet?

Dale Jr. tweeted he wants to put Bubba Wallace in the #9 to replace William Byron, but Bubba needs a sponsor. Dale tagged "6million" in his tweet. Sure would make sense for Liberty University to continue their sponsorship agreement for this upstanding young guy.

Golly gee, I sure do wonder why a major corporate sponsor won't step up and support this fantastic young man? /sarcasm

JR will dig a sponsor up for him. I expect ol Jerry Falwell with have Liberty plastered all over the 5 in cup. Being from that area Liberty U has many connections in the DuPont family. Practically all the land the university sits on was donated to them by the DuPont family. I expect Liberty has more money than most colleges in the country but I don't see them getting behind Bubba. It's a shame but that't how it is in those parts. You would think JR could get ACDelco back into the sport or some auto part manufacture. Its a shame everything is sponsored by fucking prescription meds and energy drinks driving everyone to need them.

From the L.U. people I know, the NASCAR stereotype isn't exactly their audience. L.U. was for uppity Conservatives who went to private school or Christian schools. They weren't allowed to hang out with us public school "Riff-Raff*." Pastor's kids and what not. I assumed some big school donor told them to sponsor a teams because they needed to wash some personal money quick. I can't think of a better way than racing to make money disappear fast. That makes sense that DuPont was a big donor. You're right about modern sponsorships. Crazy how it got too expensive for auto parts companies to support the sport. Thankfully, we're seeing a righting of the ship as NASCAR's economic bubble is finally bursting. From what I understand, Bayne has his sponsor on lock because he has MS, so he's an ambassador in multiple ways. Same for Ryan Reed. Maybe that's Roush's new thing. Sign up sick kids and sell their illness for sponsorship dollars.
