How's it like in Anderson, SC or the surrounding areas? Thinking about looking at a house on Kings Rd. on the lake this week.

Anderson is pretty hit or miss on the lake. I would definitely go look before I bought. It looks like that area is really close to downtown Anderson.

Are you wanting to stay close to town or do you want something out in the country?

Honestly it's not a bad place to live.. like every place has it's bad sections.. but overall since we got the new sheriff it's a lot better than it used to be it's close to the mountains.. atl and Charlotte are 2 hrs away Beach is 3-4 hrs away..

Looking at Johns Island if CHS.

Honestly, if I can get on a lake for decent money I'm all over it. If not on a lake, I need some property around me but not too far out that the wife would have to drive 30 min for decent everyday shopping.

House I saw online is 1037 Kings Rd., Anderson, SC. It's in the middle of our price point and I like that it's brand new and with a dock. How's that area?

Deal! Charleston is our first choice but we're just trying to eliminate areas.

You can buy on Lake Wateree so I could use your boat ramp to avoid the idiots at the landing

That's an older but good area. Water is not good there, though. Shallow and dries up when the lake is down.

    My thoughts.

If you wanna keep water when the lake goes down get down near Portman Marina or off hwy 187.
