Any guitar players on TW?

Cleaning and stringing up this baby ML.
Years of dust on it and nearly sliced my finger on the corrosion on the string.

Guy said he bought it, played it twice and sat in a corner for a few years. The dude was like 50.
I've seen his miata at one of the cars and coffee events. Him and his son both track them down in the ATL.

I remember my very first electric in sophmore of high school: Ibanez RG370mw w/ a FR. I hated the constant tuning so much.

The irony is that these days I feel naked without the FR sitting there... waiting for a small dip or a random flutter.

 

Yea. Thats an old ass floyd. The poles that hold the strings jut out the back. I used a wooden block on the back side and then used the 2 claw screws to adjust.

 

Used to own 2 of these. One on an Ibanaz musician and another model I cant remember.
Both in gold. What a huge hunk of metal.

25 yrs ago. Still have the roadstar 2.
The pic of the drum set was 30 yrs ago. Same guitar.
The ibanez musician is the one I eventually put the washburn wonderbar on. It was an archtop and I had the arch top plate. Beautiful, superb playing/sounding guitar.

 

Anybody own a blueridge acoustic? I know they're Chinese but I hear they're quality instruments. Hoping somebody who's owns one can chime in with an opinion. I just ordered a br-140A. Solid Adirondack top, solid mahogany back and sides.

 

Had to look them up. Did you play one?
Seems pretty pricey.

 

I played a couple models that were less than the one I ordered. They were very nice guitars. It's a bit pricey for a Chinese guitar but these aren't your typical Chinese guitar. All solid wood and built to pre war Martin specs. I read about several Martin owners getting one for a knock around and end up choosing it over their Martin. From what I hear, it holds it own with Martin, Taylor and guild dreads. I'll report back in a few weeks when I pick it up

I've played a couple. I like them if they're set up well. Not sure how they are out of the box. I've learned to never judge an acoustic until after a good setup by someone with magic in their hands.

I was in heaven in there. And the guitar room was empty so I just jammed for an hr.
They have like a museum in there, it's pretty cool.

finally replaced "the one that got away". I had and sold one of these in high school. budget model ltd, but it was neckthrough with a 3 piece maple neck, mahogany wings, and a photo flame veneer that actually looks nice. replace the stock EMG HZs and this guitar is far from budget. it took me almost 10 years but I finally found another! on eBay! for 350$! and the pickups were already swapped for SDs.

correct. I also have an Indonesian carvetop, hardtail model; the quality doesn't even come close. there was something special about the old Korean ltd's.
