I am going to start changing my own oil soon and need some suggestions about which vehicle ramps are best for the weight of the 2016 Tacoma SR5 2 wheel drive.

I have looked at the plastic and metal ones and not sure what to get.

The Tacoma will not be on concrete as my concrete parking pad slopes downhill. I will be changing on a gravel driveway or in the yard.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

I just reach under and do it. Never needed ramps. I do have plastic ones for the wife's car.

I dont like driving up ramps without the use of drivewheels. It has a tendancy to push them, I guess you could bury them slightly in the gravel.

I've always used jack stands after my buddy (erroneously) launched a ramp.

With our ground clearance you really don't need ramps. I just drive up on some 2x4s to give me a tad more room. More than enough clearance to do an OC

I can do my 5-lug without ramps or a jack and I use a creeper, shouldn't be needed for your truck either.

I just changed mine today, come at it from the sides of the truck and crawl underneath. I sometimes go from the front which is a tight fit as I have a rci skid mounted.

Go-go-gadget arms definitely help for that dang oil filter location on the 2.7 hahaha

So you put all four down and and climb them all in 4wd? I'll be honest, I was considering doing the same thing to swap the exhaust, but I was worried about a safety a bit.

I have those RhinoGear ramps too. Work like they are supposed to. Haven't used them since the lift was installed though.

I have the rhino ramps and I love them. Never had a problem with them slipping. Bought them for my wife's car and I use them for the truck now just to have more room underneath.

    I couldnt imagine needing ramps...

before I got my truck I had a 2006 infiniti G35 coupe, I pulled over to the edge of the concrete to give me enough room to get under it.

I feel like I could play a game of basketball under my taco its so high up compared to the G35.

Those ramps work fine, most support 10000 pounds
