My dealer quoted me $650 in labor to remove this bar. I hope I got a decent deal.

They had some free water but charged too much for doritos - wouldn't even give me a free bag. The guy seemed like a nice guy with a firm hand shake and all.

I'm starting to regret my decision. :anonymous:

I want the best of both worlds- I just spent $110 on McMaster Carr to DIY some quick disconnect end links.

I thought the swat bar didn't have anywhere to go when disconnected.

You must find a way to tie up the bar after disonnecting to avoid CV contact.

I have front discos on my 4runner. Luckily the bar can just be pushed up and it is completely out of the way.

Connected my front end lifts tires with lots of wheel spin. Disconnected she stays planted and way less tires spin.

Just humor or have you never heard of sway bar quick disconnects?

^^ What this guy said- I have a mig and will make a point to take the disconnected end of the endlink and use it to swing the sway bar ends up out of the way and anchor them.

The endlinks are basically two ends of what the bottom end of this bajataco design is for the older gens.

As far as I know, nobody has ever made a set that works (on a Tacoma)because the sway bar can't be moved out of the way far enough to avoid contact with moving parts. Definitely post pics if you pull it off because I'm sure plenty of people would be interested in doing the same.

Yeah I'm thinking 2gen. I'm pretty sure I've seen them on the 1gen, but nobody has come up with a solution for the 2gen as far as I know.

The 1st gen is easy because the bar just sits out the way. The 4th gen 4runner can be done if the bar is pushed up and anchored like stated above and should work the same way on a 2nd gen.
