Gotcha. The person at the dealer that confirmed cement as a 2018 Tacoma color said that's all they knew too. Didn't have any update on pricing or availability for the Tacoma. I wasn't sure if they were being truthful or not.

For anyone that has pre-ordered in the past, what did you end up paying? Straight MSRP, more than MSRP, less than MSRP? Maybe you knew the GM and got invoice?

Trying to figure out what to expect should I go that route.

Sounds like a good deal. Did that require negotiations?

I "ordered" my 2016 (they had an allocation that was the same or they were able to edit) I paid $1000 under invoice, but was forced to pay for the useless South East Toyota "Toyoguard" and the dealer fee, so I really came out a little over invoice, still was barely under MSRP out the door.

Did it all by email, was about the same deal As through Costco, but the closest Costco dealer was 100 miles away.

I shopped around several dealers for the best deal on the 16, and best trade in offer on the 12 I traded. Then I went to my local dealer, told them I was shopping around, and basically said I wouldn't pay more than 500 over invoice, they said fine. I had to negotiate the trade more with them, but got them to come up to a decent number.

Purely cost. I'd prefer a double cab, but I get squimish when a price drifts over the 25k amount. The Access cab with the back seat package is about my only option if I go new.....or hunt down a late 2ndgen in that price range.

I too am waiting for the '17 clearance deals, but myself at 5'8" don't have a need for the power seat. Got it on my current '09 CRV and can do without. I wasn't aware that the 17's had power rear window. That is something I had on my 2007 Ridgeline. It's handy as I couldn't reach back there while driving.
    The waiting game is on..............:fingerscrossed:

I remember when that awful A-BAT Concept came out, I sure hope they never take any inspiration from that thing for future designs.

I've been waiting to trade in (or sell) my 2011 Highlander to get a Tacoma TRD Pro in cement. I'm waiting to see what the new features on the 2018s are. If they include all those new safety features like the auto-adjusting cruise control, etc then I'll go with an 18. If not, I'll try to get a good deal on a 17.

If cement is available on the non TRDP tacomas, I'd be tempted to get an off-road and put my own mods on it. I'm definitely changing the head unit no matter which version I get because I want Android Auto. The inclusion of nav on the TRDP will be a waste for me.

You can get this that mirrors your phone on the existing unit. Not the same thing but fairly close. The video below is for Iphone but they have one for Android.

Thank you for that, I didn't know that was available. I'll consider that my first option now.
