Why do people lie about what they paid for a third gen? ... mostly BS thread

Ha!! I've noticed the gas mileage one too. The other ones make sense but why lie about gas mileage? Tf is that even worth?

 

i picked up my 17 OR for like 32k but now i have to buy some sliders for RED Inc and maybe a front Mount LED bar as well!

 

My former manager works for the new Toyota USA Corp office in Dallas and she laughed at this... That is below EE pricing.. what a douche!

Although there are lots of detail he left out.. like was it a demo. was it hail damaged, was it wrecked, how many miles blah blah blah.

Bottom line is IF and that is a YUUUUGGGGGE IF, he really only paid 27k its because of a real dealer hook up. That is just barely above dealer cost, would be a cash sale, and he would not be able to provide documentation as it would be a violation of the agreement.

 

Same. I guess some people lie to make it sound like they are a bad ass negotiator or maybe like the have a connection or something.

 

better question is....why do you care? people are going to lie on the internet forever...

 

I know a few places that will knock your price way down, kick you in the dick with your trade in and jack up your APR. They make you feel like you got a killer deal but are rocking you in interest and your trade.

that kind of price, is definitely not new, from a dealer. Used with salvage/Rebuilt title maybe. Then he got screwed!
