I had my X-runner for 3 years, that is the only 2wd vehicle that I have owned and now I have moved back to a 4x4.

It seems to me that most of the trucks wheels out there today have ALOT going on compared to 3 years ago.

I did know that Weld Racing got out of the truck wheel market ( or I assume they did since you cant find them anymore). I would kill for a set os 16x10 Forged Weld Outbacks for the Dcab.

Maybe is it just the change in times, but I miss some of the simpler wheel designs for trucks. It is probably due to the fact that most trucks now adays come with 17" wheels or bigger. It seems like every wheel design out there is Black/polished with a simulated bead lock

I may be the only one that feels this way, but I am just noticing this as I search for wheels for my truck. I see alot more "ugly" wheels out there, or as some would say "Bro"

    Anybody feel the same way?

I like my 33 12.50 15s on my 91 Toy. Not too sure about the smaller sidewalls on the bigger rims. Especially for offroading when you air down. You get more sidewall flex with a smaller rim. Not so much of a rough ride either.

yeah I agree, but most of the newer wheels dont come in that size,

not to mention they wont fit on the truck since it has bigger brakes ( not that thats a bad thing)

    I would just like a nice two piece, forges wheel in a 16 or 17 x 10

Its just the way they build the new trucks these days. Sometimes Id like a new truck, but then having an older Toy is nice too. I pretty sure the rims are 15x12 or 15x14

    If I could fit a 15x10 with a 35" tire I would.

I like the look of more sidewall, but the advantages when aired down

I agree with you. Personally I think all of the Moto metal wheels look like garbage. I absolutely hate the black/silver combination wheels. But thats just my opinion. To each their own. I walk into a tire/wheel shop and half their wheels have too much shit going on.

I like a really simple wheel. Coming from the "JDM" honda scene before I bought my tacoma. I like a nice clean simple OEM look. If I were to do any aftermarket wheel on my tacoma it would be the konig countersteer off-roads or a cragar off-road style wheel in black.
