Got new shoes on the beast Saturday! Nothing like new tires to make your ride feel brand new again. Got in a good 300 miles between Sat and Sun.

My mom get's her '18 Crosstrek this Friday. It will very likely never see a dirt road let alone off-road.

Sophia is gathering some rocks and putting them in the cup holders of the camp chairs. Check out how she is wearing her mom's flip flops. Don't mind the messy camp site!

nice bike here are a few of the bikes I've owned over the years, We meet in Keene on the last Sunday of each month at Lindys diner in downtown Keene its on Calbo St directly across from the bus station / transportation ctr, Its 2 1/2 hours from Hartford so I / we usually get there about 8- 830 ish . Going home I go Rt9 to Bennington Vt then Rt7 to Rt8 into Ct then Rt 44 to the Wethersfield Ct area ,About 300 miles on a Sunday usually home by 2PM Hope you can make it some Sunday

Since there a few people that ride motorcycles here on this forum here's a list of my past and current rides. The Moto Guzzi Convert is my current ride . As a footnote the mileages posted are accurate and were many rides and rally's over the years

Damn, that is some serious mileage! I've owned my share over the years, no idea on mileage but I'll try to recreate the list as accurate as possible for the street bikes only:

76 Honda CB 360 (Police Model)
82? Yamaha Seca 600 (sold to buddy)
86 Ninja 900 (deer strike, 3 days in a hospital, lots of broken bones)
81 Suzuki GS 1100E (still own, in pieces)
    83 Suzuki GS 1100E (sold)
    87 Yamaha Vmax (sold)
86 Kawasaki Calvalcade (scrapped, was junk when I got it)
96 Suzuki Bandit 600 (first new bike, sold)
    89 Suzuki GSXR 750 (sold)
94 Honda CB1100F (stolen, wish I still had this one)
    84 or 85? Suzuki GS1150E (sold)
99 HD Dyna Wide Glide (traded in slightly after break in)
2001 Kawasaki ZRX1100 (sold to buddy who still has it)
    2006 Yamaha FZ1000 (Sold)
    2009 Kawaskai Concours 1400 (current)

I might have as much mileage on all of them combined as you have on your MG Eldorado (but I doubt it).

What'd that thing get for gas mileage dragging the trailer? I'm going to guess somewhere in the low 8 MPG range.

Speaking of which Mike. I for the 1st time kept track while going down and back to PA. So with the camper, 5 people and all the stuff to go for a week I was averaging right about 13 MPG while doing 70-75 most of the way. Not bad in my mind

That's not bad at all! I do miss the pop up for that. My current trailer, it's not the weight that's killing my MPG, it's the huge, flat front of the camper.

I know, shows how much wind resistance kills mileage. I get like 11-12 when I'm just pulling two sleds in my inline trailer. Even with the V-nose there is an amazing amount of wind resistance, I can feel it big time.

Excited - have to share. PASSED EMISSIONS!

Back story is it failed emissions, exempted out & was run for 2 years until the registration ran out, then previous owner put it up for sale. He'd done cats', O2 sensors, gas cap, exhaust pipe..... Gave up with the exemption. Pretty much the only thing left was the vapor canister & my mechanic confirmed - it was full of gas & dead, & the cat's were the wrong ones.
Anyway, it's legal now. AND a special thank you to the state of CT for the $20 'ticket' they mailed me for being 6 days late on my emissions testing. BAHSTARDS!
They must have mailed it the day after the truck was due for me to get is so fast.

Finally - have enough miles to refill the gas tank & calculate MPG. 23.64 mpg. I wonder if my speedo/odo is off? The F250 got about 9mpg so 23 in a 4WD truck seems ludicrous to me. ...or do these (2.7L 5speed) do that?

High top camper shell to help ease the bluntness of the trailers nose?

Helps a little, not as much as you'd think with a travel trailer. With a Uhaul, something that's a little narrower and shorter, it does help a lot. The 5x10 and 6 x 12 uhauls are about the same profile as my truck with the cap so towing them, I would still get decent mileage. The travel trailer is about a foot wider and several feet taller than the truck so it's still like pulling a sail.
