We here in Alabama are often portrayed as very country like people however if you know any real southern country "folks" you will quickly see they are just damn nice people.....and the women here are simply beautiful I believe.

I believe it is the news stations fault as they always show that country guy with no teeth talking about the tornado that blew his trailer away and killed his cows. Yes we often look bad however good old Bama has some very educated, and wealthy, people living here.

If you think about it I would guess that the southern states in general make up a huge part of Toyotas sales. I can remember from when I was a child ( I am 41 now) all of the guys had a trusty old Toyota that they cherished. Those dumb old country bama boys must have had some sense to realize the potential of that little truck back then.

Regardless I have travelled to many places and have seen some amazing cities. I had a blast in Vegas and was awe struck by Manhattan. I have found many places I visited very classy however in no time at all found myself homesick for Bama and its sweet tea....I do not believe I could ever live anywhere else however we all say that about our home state I believe.

Lentsnh thank you for the kind words and again I must say Southern women in general are incredible however Bama women just have something extra I believe. Now I will say that I once visited Nashville Tn. to see some police friends up there and there are also some very nice women in that country town as well.

Alabama weather has its faults and we are mostly known for those damn tornadoes. I really believe every state can be known for some type bad weather as California has their quakes, Florida has the hurricanes, and the north has those brutal bitter winters.

I do like Alabama as we have a little of each season with plenty of warm weather year round mixed with a few months of winter. It gets cold here however usually for no longer than a month (February) and the remainder of the winter is easily tolerated.

The food down south is amazing and I simply enjoy the lifestyle of a southern man. Now I will admit that when I visited Manhattan I was amazed at the Pizza and Italian food in general. The best Pizza I have found down south is not as good as the worst Pizza fron N.Y. Holy smoke those Northern City folks know how to make some damn good pizza and the food was something I will never forget from my visit up North.

Southern hospitality is actually alive and well down here in Bama and I can still say that after 13 years of dealing with the worst our society here has to offer. Yes we have our crime however who doesnt? What really matters to me is when you shift through all the stereo-types and rumors of Alabama you will eventually see the true sides of real country people....it is alive and well in good old Alabama even if you have to stay a while to actually see it.
