I'm on the do not lube side now too. I was also on the ' just be lazy, it'll be fine' side, and that fucked me. I shit you not, dumping tri flow on uniballs was the only way to get them to stop squeaking, and that lasted about 3 days....I've since been spraying off my front suspension with the jet setting on the hose, focusing on the uniballs cups, lasts at least a solid week before I hear anything from the front end. Once I swap out the uniballs I'll be making sure to keep them clean and wash them off at least once a week.

 

same, doing an experiment on these new uniballs and seeing if lubing does harm or helps. Havent touched these yet and only noise is from the bushings.

 

You lube those babies up too?

I said never for about 3 years. And then still never through the bed in the rear. That lasted 1 week after installing the front. Now I'm on the parts wait to cut holes in the bed so it can keep up with the front.

 

Dirt Designs should have some kits ready to go in September.....

 

This is probably the best answer. I've replaced both lowers, but the uppers are fine. They are also easier to clean, and not exposed to as much brake dust...

 

Mind you, I drove down the beach a bunch, got hit with a little high tide splashes driving along the beach, about a year's worth of road grime and I was an idiot and never bothered to clean it all off until about a week after a trip I'd take it through a car wash. Needless to say my uniballs show some rust, that's why I've got replacements sitting in my desk waiting to be installed when I get off my lazy ass. Future plans will definitely be a drop of Triflow right before install and roll the uniballs around to work it in, then just clean off the suspension immediately after every trip and maybe every other week commuting.

 

Trying to upgrade the suspension on my kids quad. Does anyone know if Kings will fit on this or not? Maybe DownSouth Motorsports has some bolt in Kings or something?

 

Talk to Micah at down south motorsports. They should have some oem replacement kings he could do some custom valving for.
