    ^^^ agree 100%

Not to mention there is a sign at the beginning of the pass showing off-road travel is prohibited in all ORVs:

And I think that's a "Stay the Trail" sticker on the high clearance 4wd sign.

The Tacoma realm is pretty tight knit here in Colorado. If a name doesn't turn up soon I'd be surprised. We Taco folk stick together.

Years ago in CO. some guy was caught off road in a closed area. They wouldn't let him drive out the vehicle under its own power. He had to hire a guy with draft horses to pull it out. Plus pay for replanting of the vegetation, plus a big fine.

Good if that was this guy I'm glad he had to pay to get his dumb ass out. It looks Bad on Everyone in the off road community. You might as well go go paint up Moab. Remember how much that hurt us?

It really hurts the off road community because that's how you get Trails Closed.

I don't dispute your assertions. Stay the trail is always the best procedure. But, in Slade Kentucky, a well known wheeling destination, there are several well known, long established trails that use the creek bed for a short distance (several hundred yards) as the sides of the hollow are too steep to do otherwise. The creek beds are wide and flat consisting mostly of large plates of slate-like rock. Very little damage occurs to the bedrock, and there's actually very little aquatic life because the creeks are spring fed and very cold, even in the summer. So don't totally trash-talk every picture you see of wheeling in the creek... Just my .02¢
