That was fast, I got the original SPC ball joints (no grease fitting), and their going bad 40-50k miles. Up and down play and need to be replaced. Called SPC for warranty but warranty stops @ 3 year 36k. I'm going to rebuild them with the new style joints but ultimately want to switch to the Rokmen uca's. I'll be tearing into the front end soon, I'll send you a text or PM soon. BTW your welds look like art.

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
Your welding skills are def much, much better than mine. So I want to ask you some questions about welding these. I assume I need to pre heat the spindle and bounce around on the weld kind of like stitch weld to distribute the heat load, or can I continuously weld by my welders duty cycle? Also after welding is complete, I think I would need to toss these in some 5gal buckets full of sand to slow the cooling. Also, how much power are you using on your welder? I've got a Millermatic 35 blackface that I'm going to use .035 wire. I think the 4 or 5 slot out of the 6 should be hot enough. Any other suggestions, tips, or tricks would be greatly appreciated.

You do need to preheat. I jump around but mostly just out of habit. With the preheat some guys like to weld it all at once. I use a fixture when I'm welding everything so I'm not overly worried about anything warping. But I've done them without a fixture and not had any problems.

I have 3 different welders I go back and forth between. A millermatic 180, millermatic 220, and a millermatic 212. All have different settings. I set all my welders up by feel and adjust them accordingly. I stopped running .035 a long time ago so my welders are setup to run .023 and .030. I'm not very familiar with the tap changes on the millermatic 35 but your voltage and amperage will rely heavily on your travel speed. I run a slower travel speed than most and don't do any fancy puddle manipulations. Your best bet will be to find a way to move your torch that you can consistently do. As far as setting go. I adjust till the wire flows smooth and the toes flow in on the outsides of the weld. My heat setting are more than likely slower than most but that is made up for by my slower travel speed.

Sorry if this is confusing it hard to type out something you've kind of just refined over the last dozen or so years into a coherent paragraph. All my adjustments are made based on watching my puddle flow thru the hood. I don't do too much adjusting based on what the weld looks like after it cools.

Those are beautiful and I like the weight saving holes. When I grow up I want to weld like you haha.

I've been welding with oxy acetylene and I'm getting really tired of it but the house I currently live in to flip on has 115V. Do you have a recommendation for a good electric welder that I can run t reduced capacity? Not looking to buy one specifically for 115V

Millermatic 211 would be my choice. I have one I use between my house on the shop. Thinking about picking the new multimatic for the pad.

Oxy acetylene is actually the best way to learn puddle characteristics and hone up you rod feeding skills. It's great tig practice

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out.
Yeah, that's what my dad said about oxy acetylene but it was a hand me down when he bought his electric welder haha

Hey Jason we just spoke on the phone. So just to confirm, you have the gussets in house already? And some welded up and ready to ship. So if I ordered aND paid today you could theoretically have them in the mail today? And total cost is $180 upon ordering and you return $80 when you receive the exchange core?
