finding hub issue

    i have a 1997 tacoma with a 2.7 and manual locking hubs..... the issue that im having is i cant find the right hub or needle bearing.i need the needle bearing that my cv shaft free wheels on.... have called every parts store local to me and all they can get is the hub for an add axle.called toyota dealer and they were just as helpful.......can anyone help? do i need that bearing?lol....thanks in advance guys

    It sits in behind the inner brass bushing so you gotta get that inner brass bushing out first... I've never swapped that bearing myself so not entirely sure the best way to to it, but if you search around on the "brass bushings" and such, there should be a couple threads around on them. BTW, dont bugger up that inner brass bushing....there's no longer any replacement offerings for that sucker.

    Thank you sir..ive watched that video several times.he only references the bushing when they are pressing the hub out

    WabFab rebuilds hubs IIRC, you may be able to buy extra parts from him. I doubt you have many other options besides buying a used hub from another truck.

    Ive got the bearing coming... just got to find a machine shop that won't screw up my bushing

    WabFab rebuilds the lock hub bodies...I don't think they rebuild the actual axle hub that OP is talking about with the needle bearings....

    3" Toytec Boss Lift with External reservoir and adjusters Prerunner to 4x4 conversion Manual locking hubs 16x10 w/-38 offset 305/70r16 Toyo RT tire
    I got my entire wheel hub and bearing for 225$ on eBay and it came out to be oem Toyota. I ended up calling Toyota close to my house and the wheel hub is 218$ and yes the wheel hub was for manual locking hubs
