Hmm. If Adam and Eve had 2 children, Abel & Cain, where did Adam's children come from?

 

Adams Children came from eve. LOL Able and Cain lived in WV where they imbred and then their kids Married their cousins. Once the Law was established then WV was condemned.

Adam and Eve (Not Steve) Had more then two children. The bible says that they were the first two. Then lived 800 years. How many children could you have in 800 years... Too many.

You can believe in creationism (small "c") if you like, but evolution is based on fact.

However you might like to think that someone got the ball rolling before everything else started is fine, but please just accept the fact that things change, they adapt, and that there's proof of this "theory".

And yes, we came from monkeys. And if that's not enough to get your knickers in a twist: before that we came from amphibians and before that we came from pond scum.

If you don't buy any of that, well, you're living in the Matrix...

 

So then thats to say that life has absolutely no purpose what so ever and that being here on this planet is absolutely by chance? Adaptation doesnt prove evolution any more than praying to God for something to happen and then it does proves the existence of God.

You see? This is EXACTLY why I don't want to see this thread pop up every day.

Now I have to get drawn into a LOGICAL discussion with someone who is all too ready to throw LOGIC out the window.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PURPOSE OF LIFE IS, but I enjoy it nonetheless and I try to do good by others WITHOUT BEING SCARED SHITLESS THAT I'll spend all of eternity burning in purgatory if I don't accept Jesus into my life.

I'll take the scientific method over a bunch of hocus pocus any day.

If I WERE going to believe in some hocus pocus, THERE ARE MANY MORE IMAGINATIVE and people friendly religions to choose from. I might choose from one of the religions that doesn't PREY ON LITTLE BOYS or BURN PEOPLE AT THE STAKE or MARCH ACROSS EUROPE TO KILL INFIDELS.

The scary fact is, there may NOT be a purpose to all this. If that's the case, and it did just come about randomly, wouldn't that be amazing enough?

 

Not really my faith has never done any of that. The Scary part for me is that there MAY be a purpose to all of this. The way I see it is that the universe and everything in it is far too complex to just simply randomly fall into place. I cant tell people what to believe, but i can tell them what I believe. It is up to them to accept it. Frankly I have done my part. If you dont want to read this then dont click on it. Simple as that.

 

To you maybe. To me I know why I am here and what I am supposed to do here on this earth. I know where I am going and have peace about it. I have fulfilled my duty to tell people. Whether or not you believe, one day you will have to stand in front of God and answer for that.

 

I'll grant you that I don't know which way the chips will fall if/when the curtain is ever pulled back and the answers are revealed.

I'd even go so far to say the idea that the "Universe" is limited to just one "universe" is also a very limiting concept. I find it hard to believe that everything that makes up the universe came from a single microscopic point and that there's an "edge" to it (what's out past the edge? Some space and then, perhaps, another universe?)

But the argument here is about creationism vs. evolution. It's a fact that man in his current form didn't always exist as such. We were not CREATED in our current form. We're just the latest model.

Call it the 2010. Just without the LED tails.

I never said I was here to Mod my tacoma. My duty on this earth is to tell people about Jesus, and its your duty to choose which you will believe. God or man. That is why I am here. To serve and glorify God. It is by God's grace that I am able to have my truck and to do things to it that make it mine. And I thank him everyday for it.
