If I am not mistaken it is a little bit back in this Thread, it said Orders will be accepted in October and the Trucks will start hitting the Dealers in early December.

I heard that the 18s won't be going into production until November. Perhaps they have to reset the assembly line since safety sense is added. I also think the rear differential recall has delayed production too. Toyota wants to make sure the 2018 models aren't going to have any issues like the 2016-2017 models.

May have to just get that '17 I found.... I'm so impatient. I'd like factory leather and tss and metallic black paint but not wanting to wait till snow is falling to get truck.

Well I'm also in the SouthEast, it could be different for the other regions.

I just remember siting down with my sales guy who is an old friend and talking about the SR DC and we started looking at allocated SR DC VINs with a V6 and 4WD and we found the 50 or so sitting on a "build list" I think it was, I can't remember exactly sorry.

My thing is I want as little extra electronics as possible. I do want factory keyless and cruise though, most trucks wired for Conv also come pre-wired for fogs and such. So I'll add them myself. Same with a better radio. I'll swap it out myself.

I just need the DC for the room and 4wd for the mountains and the beach.

Yeah, I would not bother waiting around for an 18 unless you are not in any hurry, plus you could probably get a much better deal on a 17.

I think you are right on, with not being able to get parts as it is for leaking Diffs I think they are securing better suppliers to make sure the problem is taken care of and then adding that Safety Sense stuff would also cause delays.

It took between 3 or 4 Months to get my 17 after I ordered it, I am pretty patient though so it was no big deal.

It's only a couple months away. I'll wait for the 2018 if you want the upgrades. You said you have a car to drive so it's not like your going to be without a car.

usually the domestic 18's will arrive sooner than the japan 18's coming from overseas.

domestic 18's should be hitting the lots sept/oct and japan models will usually arrive nov/dec.

18 camry's and 2 other models are already on the lots currently if i remember correctly.

edit : the new CHR is on the lots currently in addition to the camry.

I think Toyota generally has its next year's models on the lots in Aug/Sept but the Tacoma is running behind this year.

I'm waiting for someone to post up shots of a confirmation that the SR5 is getting the power sliding rear window on the DC.

There has got to be someone out there who is good at leaking spy shots! :boink:

I think hes hoping for one like me. Adding rear disc brakes would be great in the next year.
