    Alright I have been debating this and I have a question for you guys. For the replacement parts (pads, discs, ect), are we stuck going through performance shops for parts?

    should be able to order from many online sources. Just save the box with the part numbers.

    On a side note, my brakes are squeaking like crazy when I do med-low speed braking. Plenty of meat on the pads, may pull them to see if some crap built up on them from all the trips.

    Thanks, Ill have to source that out prior to buying. Being in Canada, its been a bit difficult finding shops that are reasonable.

    Those of you still wondering if this is a good idea, but feel it is extremely costly, grabbing a set of EBC yellow stuff pads has been a huge help over the stock brakes

    I noticed the same thing with mine. Pulled and checked everything nothing and then it didn't squeak as bad.

    I was driving and if I tapped on the brakes first they wouldn't squeak.

    Could someone comment on the actual stopping power for the 16" version? I'm very close to ordering... Very unimpressed with the stock brakes on the TRD pro, are the brakes the same on the TRD pro as the rest of the tacomas?

    Yes they are. It would be a cool idea if toyota did a front brake upgrade like subaru does on their STI's. WRX's come with stock OEM, STI's come with the brembo's.

    Any warranty concerns? It's a brand new truck and I'm a bit worried Toyota may deny claims related to anything brake related.

    I've got the stoptrchs on my eclipse gsx and luv them.

    Can anyone provide details of the stock brakes? rotor size, etc. Im considering the 16" kit for my TRD pro but if it aint much of an upgrade i will holdout and likely grab some 17" wheels and go with the bigger kit.

    Stock brakes suck. Go with the big brake kit. No warranty concerns. Obviously Toyota will not warranty the Stop Tech components, but they have to prove that an aftermarket part caused a failure to deny a warranty claim.
