They're going to want two years of rental records reflected on your taxes if you are using that money for income to cancel out that mortgage (generally)

So, new suspension is on its way. Should be here on Thursday. With that said, I need to host a mod day and probably don't have all the right tools needed to do the job. I would provide adult beverages and pizza for all that show up. Would lIke to do it this Saturday or Sunday as the truck is currently down.

Currently need an alignment and that can't be done as the upper ball joints are blown.

On the list of mods for this weekend.
Bilstein 5100 all around. OME 886 in the front. Dakars in the back. Also need to replace the ball joints on the uppers and tie rods.

I have everything ordered and currently on its way but the outer tie rods. Can someone point me in the direction for those. Should I go with OEM or Vatozone ones?

Also, who can help? Snowtank offered up his house originally over a weekend in the near future but things changed today and I don't want to drive the truck that far with how bad the alignment is.

Brian I've gotten parts from rock auto before and have had good luck. They break it down to quality and cost. Usually fast too

I do taxes...
It basically turns your primary into a rental business. You'll be able to deduct all expenses (repairs, hoa, mortgage interest, mileage for you if you have to go do stuff, etc). Just make sure you have your property tax stuff so you can evaluate the value of the land at the point house turns into a rental for depreciation purposes.

The rental income will go against all of your expenses and any profit will be taxed or loss will be decrease your income for tax liability up to $25k if you actively manage the rental. Slightly different if you use a property manager. We can discuss tomorrow if you like.

 

I can come up and help this weekend, quid pro quo since I'll need virtually the same work. If we could get this sorted out ASAP it would be helpful for my planning since I'll be coming from 4 hours away.

 

Practically a full front rebuild. You had spc uppers right? Are you doing LCAs also?
