I can't tell the difference between week days and weekends anymore. I gave up worrying about it a long time ago.

 

Sometimes I don't remember how I got to work at night...

 

I have to REALLY think about what day it is. I've always done 12s, but MAN night-shift is a change!

 

Celebrating 18 yrs of nite shift this week.
For the 1st 3 yrs, I slept in my walk in closet.

Lol. It was comfy, like when you were a kid and made forts in the closet or out of mattresses and box springs.

I just work when they tell me to, and stay home when they don't

 

My days all run together now and I've only been doing nights 1.5 yrs.

 

Me: "Sir, do you know what day it is?"
Patient: " Tuesday"
Me: (after looking at my watch) "Oh, yeah....you're right"

.....every night....

 

got off two hours late this morning 14 hour shift. back for more

Last night of weekend here going to local bar for trivia and beer. Then movies later to stay up late. Well, depends on beer situation

 

Hey do you follow the 10k mile oil change recommendation on your Tundra?

 

I do, give or take. I can be 8500 or 12k. It holds 8 qts, If I'm going on a trip, it might be sooner. I've been doing all my own oil changes. I like the piece of mind.

You are going to hate the element type oil filter. The mess can be pretty bad. I don't bother with the little drain plug, I just unscrew the whole thing and let the oil go all over my hand. Its still a neater job than the wifes' 2.7 oil changes.

 

Gotcha. That oil filter type doesn't bother me, but unnoticed a lot of people change every 5k miles despite the manufacture recommendation
