Haven't touched them yet actually! BUT I need to cut mine out anyway. 3 out of the 4 are seized. I have a set of the SPC ones laying around. Might give those a shot first. I've heard they're shit, but fuck it...

Oh yeah, that's a sail you got there, they all are really. Even my clamshell, it was light as hell, but felt like I was towing a parachute. My inline has the extra height option too, it's 6'-2" clear inside so even with a V-nose it still drags like crazy. I've never towed a camper at all, but I imagine they are the worst of all- heavy and tall.

 

Some campers are worse than others. Mine is a relatively short camper, so they made the nose close to vertical so you don't lose any interior space with the slope of the nose. Others have a pretty decent slope on the front which really helps with aerodynamics. Mine is also a flat back panel whereas some are more curved to help with air flow. When shopping for my camper, I also noticed that some of the smaller ones are narrow so they can be towed by smaller SUVs. Again, I made the decision to go with the wider model to maximize interior space. For a small camper, I think I chose the one that had the largest negative impact on fuel economy, but the most comfortable once I get where I'm going.

 

That's the key, being more comfortable once you get there. What the hell, it's only gas money!

 

I'd love to own one of these for sleds but I think I'd hate to pay for one:

 

When we were looking for a camper, it was amazing to me to see the subtle differences between the different models and how most people likely wouldn't pick up on how greatly those subtle differences impact them. Most of the 'small' campers had very small fresh, gray and black water tanks and the payload for some of them was just over 500 lbs. Hell, if I pack the fridge and pantry, I'm at half of that already before I even start with the grille, chairs, bikes etc.

What's happy about it?! The only thing good is I still have half my extra large black dunkins dark roast left. In about 15 minutes Tuesday is gonna suck again.
