yep, great on saving your knees. just have a friend help you install it. If you interested just click the link in my sig and use the code. Maintenance is real easy too, just grease the c channels once a year or when they feel like they need some

I have this one and LOVE it. Works just as well if not better than the Yeti or RTIC and the smaller footprint is a huge plus.

I am planning to mount my fridge in the bed via a slide. The slide I bought fits flush to the bed and could use half an inch or more below it to raise it off the surface. I also got a large piece of building matrial that I could potentially make a wooden floor for the bed a platform for the slide or a drawer possibly. What does everyone reccomend? Is your slide direct to the bed or does it have feet or a platform? My drawer would only fit the Cole man stove not much else as I don't want it to high hitting the camper windoor. A platform is the minimum I need I think but maybe some storage below would be nice

Here's what I did with my ARB. I put a piece of plywood in as the base, wrapped in some cheap indoor/outdoor carpet from Home Depot. The plywood is pretty snug but I could take the entire thing out in just a few minutes if I need the full space. The slide is the ARB slide as well.

Amazon had a great deal on the dometic 50/60 slide. On a platform is leading the way

I'm going to be out of state for a month or so coming up so my 4Runner is going into the shop to get the storage box finalized. Basically what needs to be done is putting slides in for the storage box and cooler:

Second, it will be shortened by about 2".

Third, it will be coated in something like bedliner. Not decided on what yet.

Fourth, need to put some tie down points on top.

Lastly, I want to put a molle panel in behind the seat here next to the sub. Anybody know where I can get a custom cut molle panel? Just a rectangle.

Do any of you run slides in your bed but do NOT have a topper or shell? I use a RCI mid height rack and want to put a slide on the drivers side part of the bed to make getting to my 2 bins easier. Most pics show slides in a weather protected area like a shell. Will having a slide be an issue if its out in the weather?

Plenty of people have slides without an enclosed top.

Return to the Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route

Back in May, we'd attempted to run the northern 40% of the Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route, from Seneca to the Washington border. A day in, we chose a more reasonable goal: Seneca to Unity. And at day three, we called it quits - less than 50 miles from our start point.

So you can imagine that we were excited for a second chance. Redemption as it were.

I'll be posting the story and pics a day at a time - a lot happened, and there are some 300 pics to get uploaded and worked in to the story. Enjoy!

For those with kids: I'm taking my 3yo daughter and 1yo son wheeling and possibly camping in NH in a few weeks. The 1yo is perfectly happy shitting his pants, but my daughter has been potty trained for a while. Anything you guys have had good luck with? I the seats that go on a bucket/ the little folding ones that have a bag below? Probably not enough time to set up the full tent ones while on the trail. And I'm not sure how she'd fare popping a squat.

    A little a this, a little a that...
You'll want something you can take on the trail, and the drive to and from. I used one of these with my kids. Small and portable. Bury the leavings in a whole and clean it with a wipe.

OBDR Day 3 was a CRAZY day. Perhaps the only day we were less prepared than we should have been.

    • One the one hand...You never want to find yourself in a wet clay "meadow" (shallow lake), miles from anyone, without some traction devices. Slowly sinking.
    • On the other hand, there were awesome sections like this...

A couple projects I've been working on for my cross country trek to Moab.

    Spares case:

    0BA3AD4F-68ED-43D7-81E8-FB0B5A69E66C_9defbe657dc638ed4e5f25955b954d082b3a8d23.jpg

Fitted a plano lid organizer to my kitchen box:

Still want to make risers/organizers for the kitchen box so the stove can be left on top and less used stuff can stay on the bottom.

    And finished my OBW:
