    Like, so many.
I don't know that forum, but as a former Sport owner, I just wanted a cool place to talk about trucks. It certainly would have sucked to be constantly trolled by someone just because he didn't like my truck.

My best friend when I was a kid was named Donnie baker. I was 11 I think, and I had this Bon Jovi tape from the young guns soundtrack. I brought it to our daily gi Joe session. He informed me that Bon Jovi was not welcome there, and he introduced me to slayer, exodus, dio, DRI. My life was never the same again. Donnie baker if you're reading this, thank you + I want my 2nd gen snake eyes back.

I agree maybe he didn't want to, and that his as well as everyone's prerogative. Just as you have your way of purchasing a car or truck. But I see no reason why anyone would want to pay more than they have to. For anything.
    But hey....That's just me. :notsure:

Some people value their time. I worked with a guy who, lets just say wasn't hurting for money, was going to buy his wife a new Tundra in 2015. He called the dealer on his lunch break, told them what color and what options she wanted. They had to get one that color transferred in. Never asked the price. When it came in, he went to the dealership, signed all the paperwork and the deal was done in less than an hour. He said he did not like wasting time going back and forth over a couple thousand dollars when he could be using that time making money or hunting deer.

I know people that can do that and I could too if I wished.
But for an hour or two of my time to save a couple grand.... $1,000/hour. That's a no brainier.

This is actually a common misconception.

Dealers lose money on cars all the time. Hell my fleet department loses $ on 90% of the vehicles they sell, and I'm not talking "below invoice is a loser" I mean NET NET NET they lose $ to push units DAILY.

Anyone who got a Tacoma for less than $700 below invoice got the dealership to lose $ and there's plenty of people on here paid $800-$1k below invoice.

The whole invoice is what the dealer paid is a myth.

uh, that's literally what I just said "not talking 'below invoice is a loser' I mean NET NET NET". NET NET NET means invoice less holdback, less dealer cash, less finance reserve. Anything below all that is literally a loser and it happens all the time.

Invoice on a Tacoma is not losing money despite showing a "front screen loser" because dealerships almost universally have packs to cover fixed costs (business office, flooring, salary, etc..), so NET profit at invoice might be a loser but GROSS profit certainly is not.

$800 below invoice on a Tacoma IS literally losing money for the dealership in both terms of NET and Gross, unless its made up with tradein or backend products.

No, there aren't. That's the point of this thread. When people say they paid less than invoice for their third gen, we ask for proof and they leave or start talking about Pokémon.

No one here has shown proof that they paid less than the 'invoice' price

I paid less than sticker, I average better than the low estimate on the window sticker and if I had a big penis I would be living in California making porno flicks and enjoying the good life.
