And this should go without saying... but considering...

Don't use your Snowmobile or Skis on bareground.... only on snow covered ground...

So we found this dude, yet?

One of the reason I got a 4x4 was to be able to get out and see places that I couldn't get to normally.
If people can't read signs and/or aren't held accountable for messing up, I imagine that access to those serene and beautiful places won't be around for too long...

So off-road travel is prohibited. But on road is? I thought that off road is what this (us, TW, the reason we lift our vehicles) is all about.

You have the concept messed up. On TRAIL is ok. Off the Trail is not OK.

Trails, and offroad parks that allow off-trail driving. Some of these trails are no joke and require modification.

"Off-road" doesn't mean just driving willy-nilly through whatever landscape is in front of you.

Off-Road, as it relates to the activity means going off regularly maintained roads....

Really, anything designed for an automobile (or back in the day, a stagecoach or wagon) is a road... Another sign in that Picture is a US forest service road marker.

That is the best possible response.

I hope you learned that driving off the trail in a high-altitude area is a bad idea.

The off-roader will probably have the same half-hearted apology as @rutacoma did when he defaced Moab:

For some reason it always bugs me when people use that emoji. There's nothing here that necessitates a lock whatsoever.

Don't think too hard about it. The trail is clearly marked in most cases. Stay on it. Don't do doughnuts in the tundra off of the trail .Stay on the trail. The trail is considered being off road. Hope that clears it up a little.

It's hard for me to believe that question not only came into your mind but that you then asked it. There has been eight pages of discussion that should have covered the answer even failing all common sense. But to answer just in case you aren't trolling, yes. https://www.treadlightly.org. Its not just a good idea....< Donny Baker > State Law! Swear to God. < /Donny Baker >
