All pro expos, anyone run them with a bed rack and tent? Thinking about trying them.

Because they're 20 year old trucks that are out of production.

Been running them for about 3 years now and they've been great so far. They do well with just a bed rack and tent in the back, but more weight them handle even better. When my bed is fully loaded for a trip they are amazing, but when the bed is empty it can be a pretty rough ride.

The coating they use isn't the best for Winter areas, but I've only had to touch them up once.

I've seen some folks get great packs..others get packs that don't hold weight as well..others get them that hold way more then should. Others rust very fast.

Kinda hit or miss i guess.

That's what I'm looking for since the taco isn't a daily anymore. Decent amount of lift while weighed down?

Huh weird... I'm between expos and custom alcans... is it worth the extra money for custom made.

    I think so. Others don't.

You can at least ask for what you want with the alcan. Or even Deavers

Yeah. With no weight you get over 4" of lift IIRC.

With about 400-500lbs you still have about 3" of lift.

My Alcans are awful nice for what I do.

Handle quite a bit of weight.

Ok cool. I'm kinda wanting to stay high, at the same time I'm liking the thought of a low sittin truck woth lots of droop... wish I had some one who had ome like me to compare.

    thats a shit load!

Lots of money tho... I'm nervous about that route because what if I don't like how they are built....

    Stuff. Also things.
Expos, a bed rack, a BFRTT, and most of my camping gear in the attached pic. I'd say that they hold the weight really well. (I am running a 1" BL, btw).

They're kinda rough when the truck is unloaded without the tent, better with the tent, and pretty damn plush with a full camping load.

I'm in Westy if you want to take a look.
