    lol not sure why you wanted to post on TW. Very, very, very few people here would appreciate the art of designing a wheel, especially if they don't come from a tuner/import background. You rocked those SIX-ORs well though.

    Got ya - so maybe closer to 5" then.

    @ChadsPride , backspace = (width + 1")/2 + offset;
    In this example: backspace = (9" + 1")/2 + (-12mm). Rim width is tire mounting seat to seat. Backspace measures overall rim width to hub mounting surface.

    OA

    Edit: Here's a crappy diagram, but few show the rim width vs. overall width

    200grit sand and wash prep for 2pc weld. They're off to weld today.

    Doubt they'll hit powder today

    I dig em. Can't wait to see them powdercoated and mounted up. If you need someone to test em out and whore em on social media I'm your man! :thumbsup:

    @blackohio , are you going to give it some some kind of corrosion treatment to get some protection for the raw aluminum in between the barrel and the face edge opposite side of the weld bead before the PC? I've got some old 5 Zigen N1R Q.F. wheels that are of this identical construction. Anodized barrel welded to a painted silver face. Very strong combo!

    I've built data here at work for wheels. It's great to see others put up their work and not worry about secret stuff and confidentiality. The details in the face would definitely work on a truck. The spokes have enough meat and the face has enough section/ depth even in it's raw form. Can't wait to see the finished product.

    I'm not sure what is done for corrosion treatment between faces. As far as I know, no. We haven't seen issues there. The biggest issue is where the faces are finished prior to weld and causes bubbling and have to be stripped or worse cut out.

    So far we're doing a stage two ceramic finish and then doing double dark tint over it. I don't have any samples of that style yet as this will be the first we do like that.

    It's both a design and finish study for us at this point. There's things I can't show like cnc fixture/tooling and the finishing process as it's fairly secretive. /QUOTE]

    Now there's a company I haven't heard about in a long time. Used to have their exhaust on my old turbo eclipse...back in 04...

    I'm old. Was in the SoCal import scene since 1994. Just finished high school then. 1st gen MR2's and 2nd gen RX7's were the norm here. I ended up with a EF hatch, which I still own.

    I'm old, but not that old lol. Didn't get my license until 2001 but I remember watching the socal scene in the mid 90s and slowly migrate up north here. Wings west body kits anyone? Lol
