Why do people lie about what they paid for a third gen? ... mostly BS thread

Truth. I think the Facebook guy has zero to no mechanical experience, and hasn't figured out how to use the internet to order suspension components or a locker. So he's pretty much stuck with whatever toyota config he can get.

It may have been said already, not reading this shit fest start to finish, but i suspect its semantics. I could argue I "paid" an amount less than I did if I didn't include the portion I put down, and only counted the financed part. I'm not saying it's correct, but people have a warped sense of terminology when they want to gloat and brag. Or in some states where you are taxed on the difference after a trade valuation, you could back it up with the tax actually paid (ie taxed on 26k because your trade was worth 11k... something like that).

All of it is BS. If you left with the truck, the dealer made a buck.

You would be surprised. I don't do drugs. The last time I did ANY drugs was when my knee had a minor explosive polytrauma. Plus I do DOT sensitive stuff NOW, so I really can't partake. Not sure what that has to do with gi joes and my old childhood friend. Or Pokémon. Or clarice.
