    Just installed the rack today
    Overall wasn't bad
One of the bolts to the roof fought me
Why didn't they buy the holes back further to go behind the shark fin?

You can order directly from 80/20 inc. In black anodized in the custom length you want and tapped at the ends for 1/4-20 threads.

How can you put longer than provided crossbars on this in only a few places? they fit inside the side rails.

Not to mention the bolt holes in the cab roof are a fixed distance apart.

Dynatrac ProRock 60 Rear Axle, that is important enough.
Preliminary report on the sound deadening on the roof....

A much nicer ride so far, I now hear more road noise from the tires than anything else.

The real test will be the 12 hour drive to TN at the end of the month going 70 on the interstate.

But it already makes it a lot more comfortable inside the truck.

Just got an email from CBI that my estimated ship date will be 9/27 then later told me that I should pick the color of the rails sooner than later because they might ship out much earlier. Hopefully they ship out much sooner but I am not going to get my hopes up after all I have heard but we shall see. I will keep you posted on my delivery.

As for a light bar, No I did not order it with the light bar cut out because I was not going to put one in right away and did not want that area blank. I will order in the future the wind fairing later with the 30" cut out for the Heretic light bar since it appears to be of a great quality and that is what I base most of my decisions on.

    I've search and searched
    Found some answers
But how's everyone running the wires to the light bars
I've seen a couple drill (which I don't want todo)
And a few run the wire down the windshield which I would prefer if I can get it to look right

I think the windshield is going to be the cleanest way. I know a lot of guys running shells run their other lighting between the cab and shell- but even then a lightbar might as well go down the A-pillar (next to the windshield)

@PDX_Cray @TSki (tagging you both because you both mentioned the rigid scene lights off the sides of your racks). Not sure if either of you added these lights separately from other mods, but did you notice any added wind noise or significant lose of MPG after installing? Any cons about these lights you'd like to share?

These look like the nicest low profile options out there that point downward. Unless someone has another suggestion?

    Nothing worthy
Added this platform i've been brainstorming for a bit.
Makes loading and unloading kayaks very easy.
Also a great place to climb on to for a high outlook or I plan to utilize it for photography too.

Was thinking of doing the exact same thing- both for mounting as well as vantage/photography... What thickness (I'm assuming aluminum?) did you use?

Does covering the shark fin with that aluminum sheet have any effect on radio reception?
