Okay this about the price range I want to be in. I have mostly focused on Rockford, Focal, and Infinity.
They seem to be fairly popular on here.
I talked with Mr Marv about his set up to expensive for me, and I had Cruthchfield put together an Infinity setup. Couldn't figure out which sub box would fit behind my rear seats though that they have already put together........anyone on here know?
My question does this setup/price look decent? That's installed included.
    Is that Amp enough?
    Any other recommendations?

Where is the amp for the door speakers? Or do you have an aftermarket head unit?

    No staying with factory head.
This is what the guy at the shop did up.
I asked if 5 channel would run it all.
This is what he printed out.......is that not a 5 channel?
I'm not all that educated on this sorry.

That is a mono (single) channel amp. That will only run 1 subwoofer. I'm not sure how/where you'd put 2 10"s in a truck either. Looks like those are RF Prime speakers, which are 60w RMS/120w max. I've run the RF punch speakers, which are the next model up, off an aftermarket head unit and been really happy with them. I'd highly recommend an amp to run aftermarket speakers from the stock head unit.

Thanks I was wondering about the two 10's
    I was only thinking I wanted 1.
5 channel amp would run that wouldn't it?
    Happy with your setup?
Could you share what you have?

Yes a 5 channel amp could run that setup, you just need to pair the RMS rating with the amp to the needs of the speakers. Note that the wattages listed on your build sheet are peak, not RMS.

You'd need something like this RF amp, though you might want a little more power on the 5th channel:
    https://www1.crutchfield.com/p_575R600X5/Rockford-Fosgate-R600X5.html?tp=35808

The setup was in my last Tacoma with a Kenwood Excellon 50wx4 head unit, RF Punch 6.75 speakers front and rear and 2 powered (integrated amplifier) 8" subs under the front seats. These:
    https://www1.crutchfield.com/p_777B8PTD/Sound-Ordnance-B-8PTD.html?tp=114

The system was great for my for my needs, plenty of power with minimal loss of storage.

This time around I am keeping my OEM head unit. The OEM head units can have subpar sound quality when paired with aftermarket speakers as they will adjust the EQ when you turn it up to protect the cheap factory speakers. Not noticeable with stock speakers, but noticeable when aftermarket ones have the ability to take more. Audio Control specializes in making amps for OEM decks that dynamically backfill the low frequencies cut out or run a full digital signal processor (DSP) integrated into the amp to correct the signal which are fully tunable. I'm going the full DSP route, which does cost more. You can also get stand alone DSPs that can be installed with any amp through other manufactures. Then instead of the Sound Ordanance underseat subs, I'm going with the RF version.

Agreed on the 5-channel amp. Then maybe just do one nice 10 instead of 2 entry level 10s.

I've heard a lot of nice things about the NVX JAD900.5. For around the same money you can find a used JL XD 700/5 or 600/6 and bridge 2 channels for a sub. I'm using a 600/6 sorta like that. etc etc etc...lots to choose from. May need to upgrade that power wire though.

Definitely get a 5-channel amp, that way you can drive your door speakers too. The factory headunit maybe pushes 5-10 watts per speaker. That's all you would get going to your new door speakers too, not enough to make a difference.

If you want to go an inexpensive route for a 5-channel amp then use something like a Kenwood KAC-7005PS or Rockford Prime R600X5 instead of the higher end brands like JL Audio, Hertz, or Alpine amps.

Thanks to all of y'all. Learning experience for me for sure.
Was on the field with Crutchfield last night, liked a lot of the stuff they had to say and offer.

Question do y'all know if any of their sub boxs would fit behind the rear seat?
    I want a single 10".

Thinking I'd like to just get everything from them.

No idea on the box, but you can't go wrong with Crutchfield. They've been the best for a long time.

Look into the slim subs that Kenwood, Kicker, and JL Audio (TW series) make. Just measure the pocket bins behind your seats to make sure whatever box you purchase fits or buy the box from @Mr Marv. He can custom make them to fit.

I have a brand new JL Audio 10TW1 sub for sale in the Buy / Sell - Other section of this forum.

They are a great company to work with, they will provide everything for you to DIY including vehicle specific instructions, though the head unit to amp likely would be not covered in vehicle specific instruction set.

If you google there are boxes for behind the 2016 rear seat, ********* makes one though I wouldn't recommend their products for speakers in general. But I haven't seen any preloaded ready to install kits like are available for the 2nd gen. But the 3rd gen hasn't been out that long for those to develop.

Yes, you want the internal volume of the box to work well with the subwoofers specifications. If you use the slim subs they require less internal volume than full size regular subs.

    Well @NIU_Huskies @rob feature @crashnburn80 its ordered.
Mick at Crutchfield was awesome, got me inside my budget.
Only thing I wasn't sure about is, I went with an under the seat sub.IMG_0890.jpg

Hopefully this is better than stock, at this point I was just tired of researching it.
Hopefully I didn't do to bad.

    1. Need proper Source Signal that's flat - so you need a DSP that flattens the factory signal or a new head unit.

    2. Head unit power is almost always inadequate - at least get a 45 w x 4 power brick.

    3. that amp seems inadequate for 2 subs.

Some shops are very fast to take your money especially if you don't know what your getting into. Be careful.

Looks like he went with a self-powered sub in the kicker. So his Pioneer amp will power his four door speakers.

But yes, ideally he would have a DSP or an aftermarket headunit to get rid of the factory signals and properly fix the audio signals going to his speakers.

@BOONDOCKSAINT The bad thing about staying with the factory headunit is that headunit was specifically tuned to work with the cheap oem speakers they put in it. That way they can make those speakers "sound good" despite being cheap paper cones that are underpowered. But a DSP is a bit complicated for a first-time car audio user so best bet is a new head unit. But you should install it all and see how you like it. An aftermarket headunit or a DSP might be more money and require more technicalities than you wanted to get into.

It should be much better than stock. For a first time install -- Infinity, Kicker, and Pioneer are all reputable and well-established brands. I always find it funny when people buy Wal-Mart brands like Boss, Pyramid, and others that advertise as "2,000 watts". No quality amplifier is going to push 2,000 watts for $150.

As I mentioned earlier, and others mentioned, the only draw back of this setup is the signals coming from the factory deck may sound flat when you turn up the volume due to the factory head unit sound processing. You can fix this later if you are not happy with the setup by installing a DSP or equalizer like this in between your head unit and amp:
    https://www1.crutchfield.com/p_161LCQ1B/AudioControl-LCQ-1-Black.html?tp=70736

Or for nearly the same total price you can combine the amp and signal correction into one, though not with the full equalizer:
    https://www1.crutchfield.com/p_161LC4800/AudioControl-LC-4-800.html?tp=115

That said all those components are excellent quality and good choices. In my previous trucks running the under seat subs I've also run a 1" seat lift, because I like the flatter truck like seating position better, I'm not sure if it will be needed for clearance but this can help provide more underseat space:
    http://4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/index.shtml#SeatHeight

Best thing about crutchfield is their outstanding customer service, if you are not happy with part of your setup after you've installed it, you can still return it for a full refund.

    Thanks @crashnburn80 @NIU_Huskies @mbrogz3000
I did ask about the DSP and he said I'd be fine. That was even after I told him I came in way under budget.
I floated that out there because of the DPS and not being really sure about the under the seat sub.

I guess when it's in stalled, if I don't like the sound, I'll order one then.

Normally I would have just ordered a new head unit, but I've never had a vehicle with this much connectivity.
Really didn't want to lose any of that.

Thanks again though y'all were awesome!
