I built my cb antenna mount, now ready for paint. Can I paint the whole thing or do I need to leave it bare metal underneath where the mount contacts the bracket?20170815_134350.jpg

Changed my engine oil (Mobil 1 synthetic 5w-30 and v8 Toyota filter)

Changed my front diff oil and transfer case oil.(Mobil 1 75w-90)

Was going to do my manual transmission too but I figure I should order crush washers and Red line Mt-90. Reused washers on the transfer case and diff because I really just wanted to get it done:anonymous:.

Also, question about the manual transmission flush, am I crazy or are the drain and fill bolts on different sides? The schematics make it look like they'd be on the same side.

Oh and how many quarts of red line should I get?

Mine is the R150F manual transmission, takes 2.3 quarts. Toyota part number for the drain and fill plug gaskets is 90430-18008. Torque spec on drain and fill plug is 27ft./lbs.

Today I took it to Advanced Auto Parts, to see what the check engine light code is.
Monday morning, it started rough, and has been doing the same since.

For the most part the power still seems OK and the mileage doesnt appear to have gone severely south.

The code was P0304. As I understand it, that is cylinder 4.

So I just ordered this from Amazon

KOBRA Wireless OBD2 Car Code Reader Scan Tool OBD Scanner Connects Via WiFi With IOS, Android & Windows Device, Features 3000 Code Database, For Most Vehicles In the USA! Diagnose Your Car Like a Pro!

    Sold by: E-Tech distributors

As I understand it, my first troubleshooting move should be to swap the 3 and 4 wires/coil packs, to see if the problem migrates to cylinder 3.
So in order to check that, I need my own ODB2 reader.

I will look into that when the reader comes in. Otherwise I guess I could check to see if the plug on 4 is FUBAR.

Got my rear bumper installed for hopefully the last time. This past weekend I finished trimming the bedsides, smoothed it all out nice, painted the exposed metal and then got busy for the rest of the weekend with other stuff.

Hard to see because of the black trim/molding over the sharp edge left from cutting the bedsides, but there is a small gap between the bed and bumper, hopefully its enough to not hit when flexing, if its not, I'll pull the bumper down and take some more sheet metal away with the flap wheel. Here are some pics to show different clearances and angles and such, really pleased with the fit and finish, install was super easy, everything lined up perfectly and was super square and flush...

That is absolutely one of the prettiest truck's on here. The red and bronze is tits.

Side note - does your rear tire fit into the well? Looks way off center to the front. Maybe it's just the angle. If it is off, you Might consider some axle relocate plates.

Did I mention your truck is gorgeous?

Thanks! We're the bolts on the same side or opposite?

Changed the rear diff too. Now I can't wait to do the tranny...

Of course my right cv axle is leaking now.:angrygirl: I think the little metal plate came off while I was installing it and it doesn't move with the cv axle now.:bananadead:

Is that a CBI Bushmaster 1.0 with custom side protection? Regardless if it is or not, that looks great! I was pretty much sold on one without the side hoops but decided to wait for Pelfreybilt to come out with theirs first, then I'll decide.

Those OME leaf packs man. I still have axle relocation plates with mine to center the rear axle.

Looks awesome! Also spy a KTM in there. Spending more time on my '17 150 xc-w than in my truck nowadays. Whereabouts in Colorado are you?

As for the gap on the rear bumper - haven't had a problem with that on mine. Being the bed is solid mounted it doesn't really move and doesn't require a gap like the front bumper.
