Why do people lie about what they paid for a third gen? ... mostly BS thread

It's not always "lying". Some people are just stupid.

I've seen it on here a dozen times where someone says, "I got mine for $25,000. It was listed at $40,000 and they gave me $15,000 on my trade in, so it only cost me $25,000 in the end". It's not how math works, but not all of us can pass 3rd grade math.

 

I pre-ordered my 2018 SR5 TRD Semi-Pro (new model for 2018) in January of 2016 and paid with a personal check post dated for the delivery date for the total amount of $29k and got the dealer to throw in free oil changes for 2 years. God's honest truth.

 

As soon as I get it. Delivery date is set for April 1, 2020.

 

It'll be the Jackie Moon edition according to the dealer.

 

The truck will be Tropics orange with teal fender flares.
