Do 2010 model Tacoma PreRunners, two-wheel drive, come with any skid plates? I would expect 4 wheel drive to have them but probably not the 2 wheel drive. Thanks.
Oh yeah, asking because I go to a huge hunting/game preserve where two wheel drive is adequate but you need good ground clearance, which PreRunners have - and skid plates would be nice.

Dealer installed Leather, Truck Cover USA roll up cover, Pop n Lock, Bilstein 5100's on 4 corners set at 1.75, Rear Spring TSB. USA Spec iPhone adapter, 265/75/16 Mickey Thompson ATZs.
It is an option for both Prerunners and 4x4s. Not sure many come with them. I believe the dealers install them around here. I know that not all dealers are in the same buying group. The dealer in my town is different than the dealer just 20 miles away. I think several dealers get together and form a buying group... they decide what typical packages are so they can swap inventory around and it be apples to apples.... if that makes any sense. He doesnt swap with the dealer 20 miles north but will swap with dealers in three other joining states... go figure.

Anyway... I have a prerunner and I plan on getting a skid plate for very much the same reason you are... hunting trails and tall grass where there might be a stump or big rock hiding. Plus they look cool.

Best price I have seen is $160.00. I you find better, post it...

Yes, they all come with the skid plate. It's not the aluminum TRD one though, it's a black steel one.

My 2010 TRD sport 2wd prerunner came with the forward skid plate but not the one under the engine. I bought the one for under the engine from the dealer. I asked for the skid plate for the TRD Offroad, it was about $130 and fit like it was made for it. These are the black steel skid plates, not the aluminum one.
