Hmmmm that's strange, your positive it's not in there? Mine came already inserted into the rubber boot so maybe it's hidden if you haven't already opened the package.

Definitely not in there. Even called Toyota today to confirm that it doesn't come with it.

This is freaking me out a little bit because my kit most definitely came with the pushrod. This is the exact site and PN I ordered: https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem...FDKA)&Location=clutch-release-cylinder,,04313

I didn't take a picture of mine but this is what it looks like: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-issues-v6-6speed.120059/page-9#post-15587250

Whats weird is if you look at the exploded view of the kit it definitely doesn't show the pushrod in there, not that those pictures can necessarily be trusted but it still is strange it would come with one kit but not another. That same site I purchased it from even has it listed as a separate PN, but mine came preinstalled in the rubber boot.

No clue. But I definitely bought mine from the dealership so...

Maybe they had it as a full kit when you bought yours. How long ago was it? Either way if it looks the same as in that other post I wouldn't sweat it.

where is this slave rebuild kit you ladies are discussing? i also have the ToB squeak and its driving me insane. Slowly gotten worse in the 3 months that i've owned it. offroading is a real drag when your avg speed is about 15-25 and you can hear the chirp bouncing off the canyon walls the entire time... I figure $13ish, its worth a shot. im going to take it to the stealership after work today and see what they say. im terrified to get a quote from them but i also don't want to drop a trans in my driveway....

What year is your truck? Still under warranty? The ~$13 is just for the spring kit. It doesn't include the push rod. That is an additional ~$25. Just so you aren't thrown off like I was after purchase. You can but the kit from the dealership or like @azzwethinkweiz did with toyotapartsdeal.com. ^^^Link above in previous post to parts^^^ is the noise only when clutch is engaged (not pressing pedal) and stops when clutch is disengaged (pedal pressed in)?

its an 06. ToB noise goes away when clutch pedal is pressed in and comes back when the pedal is released. I'm not sure if its under warranty, i doubt it but thats why im going to the stealership, see if theres a TSB or Recall I can get this remedied with.

There are only TSB's for it and considering you're more than likely out of warranty it would not be free. That's only for recalls such as the frame rust issue and the leaf pack issue. The slave rebuild isn't difficult to do and you're only in about $50 at the end of the day.

Go for the slave rebuild for sure its not a lot of money and I think its worth a try before dropping some real coin on it.

So when im at toyota ask about the rebuild kit? Thats where i'll find it? Sucks doing all this at 75k. Toyota dropped the ball for once. I've loved all my previous tacos but this is STUPID common and should have a better OEM fix imo

Give them this PN for the rebuild kit:
    04313-34011
If you want the larger pushrod evidently you need to order it separately... mine came with my kit (PN above) but another users did not SO your results may vary, the new pushrod PN is
    31473-35060

    good luck

I guess just to reiterate because it's a TSB the part numbers that @azzwethinkweiz mentioned will be what they give you when you ask for the kit and the push rod. I double checked mine just to be sure. But unfortunately according to the Toyota parts guy we ordered the last push rod in the country so you may be better off checking the website that he used.

Sounds about right. Where are you located? Try the slave rebuild then see where that gets you.

Not to get your hopes up or anything but over the last 500 miles since I did the slave rebuild and readjusted my pedal my chirp has slowly faded away altogether. It still does not appear at idle and now it is gone under power and during clutch release as well (which is where the noise moved to originally after rebuild). Not getting my hopes up but this is the first time the noise has been completely gone.

I've got the URD quil sleeve sitting on my bench when it comes back.

Ok so for an update... slave cylinder rebuild is complete. I don't believe mine noise is as audible as everyone else's that complains about it honestly that being said it didn't really change much. I can still hear somewhat of a chatter. That being said I did notice a difference in clutch performance so it was definitely worth it. Here's some pictures to show the wear/differences between the new and old.

Even on my 13, the piston seal was pretty messed up and after the rebuild the overall clutch action felt better like you said. Think it's a nice thing to do even if it doesn't alleviate the noise.

Exactly. For about $45 (including rod) you can't beat it. As I said though I don't think I'm having half as bad of a noise as most with the issue. Mine is just an annoying chatter. I think I'm the distant future I'll replace the pivot ball with the fork and that should clear up the residual sounds that I'm having. Good luck to those still dealing with the issue.

Awesome!!!!! The damn chirp is back and with vengeance this time. its progressively been getting worse since a river crossing a few weeks back. Im going to inspect the sleeve tomorrow after class to make sure it isn't rotating and causing the noise. Either way i have to have the transmission dropped (I'm paying someone to do it this time) because my sweet URD flywheel apparently has a hot spot causing take off vibes. :annoyed:very seriously considering doing the hydro conversion now.

Have you done yours yet? Any feedback? Updates on your friend's hydro conversion?
