What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Jesus that's a nice bumper. I need a new rear bumper pretty badly. How much did that one run you? I'm not a fan of the side loops personally, but would definitely consider one without it. I like the low profile. I live in the city and have to parallel into tight spaces so the less zombie-apocalypse-survival-deathmachine the aftermarket bumper, the better.

Well, mine already shipped, I tried to cancel this morning, but failed. I'll try it anyways and see what happens. Maybe its been updated, maybe its the fact you have a 96.

 

Thinking about getting one of these also, 1997 I think they started a different ECU then 1995 and 1996,
Do you know a good model for the 1997 and above??

 

Thanks. Base price for the bumper is $1000, but thats also with their standard side hoops. They are very easy to work with so I'm sure it wouldnt be a problem to get one without the hoops and I'd guess it would save a little money.

 

Started cleaning up the exhaust port surfaces. Who has a favorite technique for this they'd like to share? I've read everything from the knobby wheels, wire wheels, sanding blocks, to flat polishing stones... my beat up scotchbrite pad was not doing the job that well.

Anyone want a 2000 trd exhaust in good shape - both manifolds and the cross over pipe? $25

Being a 49er fan I have to say that's one BEAUTIFUL truck.

And, that's one PRO install job on that bumper. Looks GREAT!

 

You should be okay, I have an 01 and the one you originally bought works for me.

 

Get a piece of the fine reddish brown scotch bright and do it by hand, very easy.
