I would not have thought to add pineapple. Will give it a try!

 

adds just a bit of sweetness, plus gives it a bit of a thickness to the sauce. I used it on some pulled pork and some other grilled chicken and was great!

 

Pineapple is good in BBQ sauce, definitely adds another layer. Just like on pizza lol #nevergonnaletitgo

I tried a sauce once with pineapple, it was ok.....but a mustard sauce on the other hand!

Melt one stick of butter on medium low in a sauce pan.
Take a Vidalia onion and grate it into the pan and saute for about ten minutes, make sure the onion and butter don't brown.

Add one cup of yellow mustard
Add one cup of cider vinegar
Add one cup of brown sugar
Add two tablespoons of dried mustard
Add two teaspoons of cayenne
Add one bay leaf
Add one teaspoon salt
Add one teaspoon white pepper

Simmer for 30 minutes, let cool and put in mason jars.

 

So browned onions, garlic, pineapple, Worcestershire, salsa, habanero peppers, mango. Shit's getting real. Real weird.

I got the idea from a Pit Boys BBQ video and have been tweaking it a bit here and there. It's essentially ground chuck formed up in mini cake tins, poke liberally with toothpick, add seasoning and whiskey or bourbon, smoke for about 45 mins to an hour depending on desired done-ness, dress em up, then inhale.
